I was surprised this turned out to be an impulse choice, mainly because the waiters were the friendliest people I met in Rome. They were helpful and interested when I asked questions and commented on food or wine, despite the terrible attempts I had in Italy. The food itself is a work of art, the yurt bread fish and spinach soup (I know, honestly, that sounds strange but tastes great) is gorgeously decorated and the smile is warm. The Chianti red wine is perfect in the glass and the temperature is right. With the help of the staff, I ordered a dessert, which was a surprise, very rich, and the taste and texture were great. 2 courses, wine, water, bread, appetizers cost €38 in total.

It’s a beautiful restaurant, but if you care about the price on the bill then you’re avoiding it. Except that, it’s really great. Not only because it has the best Italian food, it also incorporates new dishes made by innovative cooking methods.

Excellent experience. We ordered a la carte and found all the dishes creative and tasty without being precious. Slight downgrade on the service only because our server for the mains did not remember which of us ordered what dish. Otherwise, the service was friendly and helpful.

The service was excellent and extremely friendly. The food was very inventive and full of taste. The wine and food combination of the sommelier was unbelievable.

We arrived as they opened and we spent 3 hours over a gastronomical tour of excellent food, helpful advice and tremendous service. My advice would be to listen to, and chat with, the staff. Once they clocked that we were swapping dishes (so we each tried everything) they started working on pairs of dishes. Well done to everyone there.
