This fish restaurant is more than worth the half-an-hour drive from Bologna (15 km).Well seated we asked the kitchen to choose our 7 course menu (not on the card, but mentioned on their website) - and every single course was excellent in our opinion, various textures, tastes, cold/warm, colours…. and every plate was like a picture. We wanted a local wine (not the cheapest one) and the hostess (one of the owners) recommended us another one (half the price of our own choice), so absolutely no pressure about buying - at first she suggested an orange wine, as she had heard, that restaurant guests from Denmark likes orange wine very much. The suggested wine, (including our wishes for the dessert wine) matched the menu very well.Add to that that the atmosphere in the garden was cosy with near all tables full, every member of the staff was smiling and had time for their guests (but not to a level were our intimacy was broken).By incident we met one of the Chefs at the end of the evening. He told us he had worked in Copenhagen months until the COVID-closing on what he named "the top of Parken" (translation: Geranium) - and his impression of Copenhagen: "A lot of crazy old women on bikes" - there were nothing crazy about this restaurant - we will be back at the first time possible. Conclusion: We was more than satisfied even though our expectations were quite high.Thank you for giving us an excellent evening on every level.
Great food quality and service, prices a little bit high but justified by food quality
Rarely in the course of human history has so much hard-earned money been squandered for so derisory a return. If you take pleasure and satisfaction in the knowledge that each tiny morsel is costing you enough to feed a family in less developed parts of the world for a week, then this is the perfect restaurant in which to indulge your curious, private passion. Better, perhaps, to stay at home and admire the contents of an empty larder - somehow innately a more satisfying experience and less mortifying to the spirit. Buon appetito!
Good but expensive refer the portion
