Les Terrasses de Saumur Restaurant

We went to this restaurant for a family meal out whilst staying in the area. The whole experience was excellent. The venue and Terrace with view over the city and Chateau were excellent. The food was very good value, my wife and I had one of their set menus. The only thing that could be improved was the kids menu as there was not as much choice. 2 dishes (steak or fish) but both were cooked well and tasty. Overall we had the best and most special meal of our holiday here. Highly recommended.

Had dinner with my daughter on the way back to Angers. Gorgeous summer's evening, watching the hot air balloons drift over the valley.Great food on the terrace.

Delicious food, friendly and professional staff and cozy atmosphere! We’ve had the Bistronome menu’: Italian style tartare, tuna and beef and desserts. Everything was excellent! You could tell that they use premium fresh ingredients and everything was prepared with care and attention to detail. Their ice creams are Italian homemade standard and the meat is first class. Everyone had a big smile on their faces and made us feel welcomed with kindness and looked after with warmth. Good value for price indeed. Highly recommended!

The place is nice and clean. The service was good to the degree that they made a big effort to translate the menu to English. It’s a shame that one of the terrines was still wrapped in nylon foil. Perhaps that is why the price was discounted although nothing was said.
