It is a Chinese restaurant with good taste. It is worth recommending and worth trying.
The environment here is very elegant, but the dishes are too expensive.
I understand there is a new head chef at Tang Chao in the Holiday Inn. We had delicious Szechuan shrimp with snow peas and green pepper. The shrimp were large and fresh. The shrimp dish had some spice, but I expected it to be spicier, so I added a spicy sauce to it. The duck with plumb sauce was very good, but as the dish cooled, the sauce was a bit too thick. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly.
Everytime I visit this restaurant it is a must to taste something new because you can find a wide variety of menu here including few Thai selection such as Tom Youm Soup which is worth a try. Their choice of Dim Sum, more popularly known as MOMOS are healthy starters as this is a steamed delicacy stuffed with shrimps, chicken, mushrooms or just vegetables. The all time hit is the Tang Chao PILLOW which is a steamed mix of various sea foods with a lavish mix of vegetables including Brocolli. Beef chilly is also a must try !
What used to be a great restaurant has now unfortunately degraded to mediocre food. They are using excessive corn starch and the dishes had similar taste. It's almost as though the staff are bored. They really need to improve their menu and variety of options. This restaurant needs new life.
