Best value of the year! The 25,10, four course menu must be pricing error. Excellent local wines for 30. Loved our evening at du Rempart.
The food was good, too much of it, special menu as it was Christmas, no complaints at all, the restaurant has been refurbished since we last went, and the ambiance is good,We will be back.
Very good restaurant with friendly and efficient service. We sat on the terrace which was lovely. The food is very good and the portion size generous. There was plenty of choice on the menu including a €23.50 menu option that was excellent. Thoroughly recommended.
The food was great and the staff very friendly.
We werent welcomed on arrival - in fact they couldnt find our reservation. Eventually we were seated by the entrance door. The menus were paper table mats. The wine list - so important in Sancerre- was A4 paper stapled together with the front page looking like someone's dinner was down it. When I pointed this out, I was given a blank stare. The food - coq au vin was cold and one plate had a huge crack in it. When it was returned warmed up, it was unpleasant - the jus was too rich, the chicken was tasteless and there wasnt much of it, and it was clearly just heated up from frozen. The staff were unable to manage the situation - no apology or choice of alternative. No empathy. You have to pay on the way out - no eye contact, no apology from the manager who took our money. The absolute worst dinner we have ever had in France. If it hadnt been a Sunday might, we'd have left and found somewhere else
