The food was excellent and was the nicest I have had, having dined there many times. I recommend the chicken burger in particular. The staff were pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Great food and professional table service raised this pub dining experience well above the norm. We particularly appreciated the friendly and considerate staff and relaxed environment. Excellent car parking and ease of access for those with mobility problems. Would definitely recommend.

I came in with my girlfriend for a quick but of lunch we had the squid and a Camembert to share as a starter which were both spot on, we followed them with a chicken burger and a pepperoni pizza, the burger was cooked to perfection the crispy out was amazingly complimented with the succulent and juicy chicken inside. The pizza base was crisp and light and the toppings were there perfect amount not to much but not to little. Our server was called Maddi and she did an amazing job it really felt like we were having lunch at a friend’s house she was very friendly and went above and beyond with the service we received, she really made us feel welcome. All around amazing place to go for food will be back again soon.

Amazing food and great service. Had the calamari and Camembert for starter and pizza for mains it was really good and Had a really nice server called Maddie she was amazing and helpful.

When I started coming here approx 5 years ago for Sunday Lunch in particular, I was impressed by the food and service. The restaurant had a good ambiance. However, a visit last year with family visiting from abroad was very disappointing. It wasn’t very busy but we had to wait a long time for our food. There was little attention paid to us despite being a party of 5 and we had to get up and order our drinks from the bar!! The staff appeared busy with chatting amongst themselves.   On 14/05/25, I booked a table online for a party of 3(my dad and my 4 year old son.) I requested a table in the restaurant. However, on arrival we were given a very large table in the bar area which had been set out like a restaurant table. I asked to move as I didn’t like my son being in the bar area. Despite 95% of the restaurant being unoccupied, I was told no other tables were ready! With a hungry 4 year old, we took the table. We then waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive with people who arrived after us getting their meals quickly. Not acceptable.   The food quality appears to have deteriorated. The pub markets itself as a ‘Gastropub’ but the food is average.   The service needs improving. The food quality needs improving. I wont be returning.

Lovely venue and great staff

A very pleasant restaurant with plenty of natural daylight, comfortable chairs, cheerful staff and delicious food. We went there for lunch today and there was a wide range of dishes on the menus. I particularly enjoyed the seared salmon with brilliant chips, samphire and broccoli.  The prosecco was good too.  Highly recommended!
