I have had a lot of cream teas but I must say that this is my favourite ( other than the Ritz!). It&rsquo;s great value for money, excellent selection of cakes and sandwiches and friendly staff in a comfortable environment.

It is a local pub and we visited on Thursday night. Chef Ben was welcoming and friendly, happy to explain and advise. We tried dishes of the day, I had spinach and ricotta cannelloni, and my friend had ham and mushroom tagliatelle, really tasty, fresh pasta, nicely presented, good size portions. Finished with apple pie, again, beautiful presentation and lovely flavour.  Will definitely return.

🍻If you are interested in the history and mysterious stories of London, The Viaduct Tavern is a place not to be missed! Built in 1869, this bar was once a famous Victorian Gin Palace. It is said that the remains of the ancient Newgate Prison are hidden in its basement, and there are even legends of ghosts👻

🍻The interior of the bar is decorated in an elegant Victorian style. The gorgeous wood-paneled walls, ancient mirrors and marble bar counters make you feel like you have traveled back to 19th century London. The atmosphere here is very unique, with the bustle of a traditional bar, but also a bit of mystery and weirdness

🍻A highlight of The Viaduct Tavern is its basement, which is said to have been part of Newgate Prison and held prisoners waiting to be executed. This also makes it one of the famous &quot;noisy 👻&quot; bars in London. Many customers and employees claim to have felt strange phenomena here. Friends who like excitement and adventure must come here to check in!
