忠孝路夜市

Every time I have time in Taichung, I go to the Zhongxiao Road Night Market for food. The food is cheap and there are many delicacies, such as bean curd, squid noodle noodles, stinky tofu, etc. Most of the local residents come here to eat, and it has a very authentic flavor.

On the second day of my visit to Taiwan, before checking into the hotel, the tour guide told me that the Zhongxiao Road Night Market was very close to our hotel, so we put down our luggage and rushed to the night market. The Zhongxiao Road Night Market is located between Minyi Street and Zhengyi Street. It was originally a night market for people eating out at National Chung Hsing University and nearby factories. Now, there are many diners who come here to eat. There are many kinds of snacks in the night market, including rice cakes, fried chicken, Zhongxiao barbecue, steak, vermicelli soup, stinky tofu, omelet rice, etc. There is also the famous Caijia Tofu Shop, which is usually crowded with people. Their peanut tofu is smooth and tender, and the peanuts are soft but not mushy, which is well-known. Haha, we went in and bought a bowl each, and it tasted really good.

Zhongxiao Road Night Market is also a famous local night market. Compared with other night markets, there are many foods here, and the prices are not expensive. The night market opens around 4 or 5 pm. There are many tourists and local citizens inside.

When a "foodie" comes to Taiwan, I can only say that this is a "paradise" for foodies. There are many kinds of food at Zhongxiao Road Night Market, which are suitable for dinner, unlike the trendy snacks at Fengjia Night Market. But there are too many vehicles on the road, so be careful.

The night market here is much wider than the one in Taipei. There are food stalls on both sides of the big road, with many choices. I like this vegetarian restaurant here. Don't be fooled by its small size, it is very popular.

The grilled sausage tastes great. I like it the most. The portion is large and not expensive. It is cheaper than the grilled sausage here. This night market is older and is a night market for locals, so there are few tourists. The price is not high. You can come at night. It is open until late at night.
