I'll make this review in english to reach out most people as possible: give this place a try. This is what's like to have an authentic meal far from touristic routes and traps.Everything is homemade and very good. Try the Alcatra (a sort of meat stew), we absolutely loved it. Local wine is good too!Owner/waiter, even without speaking english, makes himself clearly understandable with the help of the phone and/or the english/portuguese menu.Just go!Obrigado!
I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant! Francisco and his family are wonderful people. They catered to my family of 11. It was a perfect stop after watching the bull run in Terra cha. He didn’t speak much English but worked with us and had a lot of patience. If you find yourself in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping at this restaurant!!
Roadside family restaurant in Terra Chã. The decor is very simple (particleboard walls and plain tables and chairs with little decoration), but spotlessly clean. An English menu was provided, but the owner does not speak English and it took some pointing between the two menus and Google Translate to convey our order, but he was unfailingly gracious and accommodating. The food is traditional Portuguese fare, and was absolutely delicious. My wife had the beef alcatra (pot roast), which was tender, juicy and savory, and I had octopus alcatra, which was more of a stew, and also flavorful and tender. Portions were very generous, and far more than we could eat. The clientele was mostly local, and the other dishes we saw going by all looked great. There's easy parking off the street in a municipal lot. If you're in this neck of the woods, it's a great option for unpretentious, well-prepared food.
I had a great review written, both in English AND Portuguese! But I tilted the phone and as the display changed from portrait to landscape, the review was GONE!SO NOTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT! U guys need to fix this. My phone is an S10+ but I don't think it's phone related! ????
