Parador de Toledo

As the main restaurant of Parador de Toledo, the view here is naturally much better than the guest rooms. From the dinner on the night of check-in to the breakfast on the next day, the two consecutive meals at the same seat were accompanied by beautiful scenery. I love it so much~~ In fact, its main meals are quite ordinary, mediocre, and neither good nor bad. If you just want to see the scenery, it is recommended to keep it as simple as possible, and watch more and eat less... The breakfast buffet is better, not only with a rich variety, but also with good quality of the most Spanish-style churros and Iberian ham.

In the whole Toledo, apart from the Alcazar Castle, which has become a military museum and occupies the best commanding height in the city, the second commanding height should be this castle hotel. So, this is definitely a stop that I was looking forward to before the trip. After arriving, it was really amazing beyond my expectations. You can enjoy the day and night Toledo without leaving the hotel~~ Although the hotel was rebuilt from a castle with a history of hundreds of years, it is almost impossible to see the original appearance of the castle. The interior is completely a very comfortable standard hotel style. I got up early the next day, and outside the window was the ancient city of Toledo. Although it was another rainy morning, it was still beautiful.

Even if the food quality were poor, luncheon or dinner at the Parador would nevertheless be highly worthwhile, if just for the ambience and breathtaking views of Toledo from the parador's high perch. But our meal was indeed superb from start to finish. If you are arriving to Toledo by motorcar a delicious manchegan meal and an admiration of the world class view, makes this restaurant an almost mandatory first stop before winding down into the city proper.

Excellent view of Toledo, especially at night with the city all lit up. The restaurant was tranquil, nice dinner music, food was original and delicious. Only recommendation is to improve the waiters table setting skills - spilled olive oil on the nice table cloth before we got started eating, but were very knowledgeable about the dishes.

Our wedding anniversary needed a special celebration. We’d chosen to stay in the old city, but took a taxi out to the Parador to dine on the beautiful terrace with its spectacular panorama of Toledo. We enjoyed excellent regional dishes and wine, and service was friendly and very efficient. All-round outstanding.
