Byblos

It's really a restaurant I want to go to again. I really like the cucumber and mint swizzle which is no longer on the wine list. The black truffle rice and the crispy lamb chops are both very good. And the yogurt mousse cake is the number one dessert in my mind. It's a must-try.

Byblos is an important port city in Lebanon. In ancient times, a large amount of Egyptian papyrus was imported from here to Greece and other European countries. Byblos restaurant in downtown Toronto specializes in Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. Along the restaurant's exterior wall, there are many outdoor seats shaded by flowers and trees.

This is a very popular shop, because of its good location, in a busy traffic area. It was quite late, and there was still a queue at the door. It's similar to a hamburger place, and you can take it away.

The award-winning Byblos is a fusion of typical Eastern Mediterranean cuisine and local cuisine. Celebrity chef Stuart Cameron offers the most fashionable and homely Middle Eastern cuisine in this fine dining environment. The appetizers are mostly small and exquisite, sweet and sour appetizers, and a sweet and tender lamb chop is highly praised. In addition to the very authentic Turkish dumplings and various spiced rice, the large lamb shoulder, steak and grilled fish for sharing are also highly praised. As for dessert, the Orange Blossom Mousse, which is amazing, is definitely a perfect end to a meal.

The only restaurant in Toronto that I would go back to from time to time. Mediterranean cuisine, and the cocktails are also great. Many dishes are added with orange blossom water, which has a very special and refreshing fragrance. The grilled lamb chops are delicious, and there is a truffle rice dish that is also very fragrant. The yogurt mousse cake has a light texture, it is a yogurt + pistachio mousse cake, with marshmallows on top, it is really unforgettable.

It's a restaurant with no faults, no matter the price, taste or service. The steak we ordered as the main course tasted just OK, but the dessert at the end was a favorite of the kids, mousse cake and caramel, the caramel was crispy with a bit of bitterness, and the calories were a bit high, but it's a common problem of Western food, there's nothing we can do about it.
