Excellent food, great service and great friendliness. All at a fair price. Great location. We will definitely be back.
Found by chance on the map via the fork, attracted by the beautiful photos and good reviews, we venture out and arrive in a remote place of the peaks near the Salto lake and the Turano lake, wonderful places but of complicated location. Once there we find a beautiful open veranda with high curtains, in total relaxation, apparently too much at first for my taste, no table setting, no staff and no one around, but as soon as we enter the room, a gentleman of ancient wisdom appears before us who opens the dance to our experience. Soon other people arrive to occupy the tables, we are excellently entertained by a young and talented interpreter of haute cuisine explaining the dishes that we would later taste. In short, bread, wine, dishes, desserts, atmosphere, ambient with excellent music, all excellent and rare to find, we had to climb on absurd roads (fault of the navigator), dirt roads, full of pitfalls but it was worth it. The bill, paid in part on the fork to the owner, did not appear and no agreement with The Fork on this issue had been agreed upon by the manager but with us they were initially perplexed but always courteous, leaving us the opportunity to resolve the issue the next day. So an experience to be repeated and I recommend everyone to do the same. Compliments to the dining room staff but to the mastery and expert hands of the chefs, the homemade bread and the savory fritter to be combined with their cured meats and signatures of rare goodness was out of this world. Beautiful location, surrounded by greenery, fresh, quiet. The dishes we tried were exceptional. The famous Italian appetizer for example are not simple cold cuts and cheeses all with the same flavor, ordinary. They are something fantastic, a raw material of quality never tried elsewhere. I will not dwell on the other dishes but know that nothing will disappoint you, trust me. The only flaw, perhaps due to some setback, was the slightly slow service. But after all it was a Sunday of rest and so we did not mind having to stay at the table longer than necessary. The bill was adequate for the service and the quality of the dishes.
We tried this restaurant once we saw it on thefork. We went even though there was no discount. Just to try it. Spectacular appetizer, highly recommended as well as the homemade fettuccine. Maybe, if I may, the second course (we took the sheep) in my opinion was not up to par. Huge fireplace. In short, an interesting place, to return to (maybe with a little discount,)
A very pleasant discovery just a stone's throw from Lago del Salto. We stumbled upon it almost by chance and it was worth it! Location, service and above all excellent cuisine. Scents and flavors that sometimes don't arrive in the city.... Thank you so much! I hope to see you soon!
