The Monocle Restaurant

Not bad American-style small shop, the American coffee inside tastes very good, the meatballs inside are very delicious, the vegetables are mixed inside, it is not so greasy to eat, the noodles are decent.

A wonderful experience of sitting at a bar or table enjoying the food and service. There is something on the menu for everyone and the price is very affordable. There is also a great bar menu. The owner and Joel's bartender will bend over to make everyone feel that they have always been regular guests. A great 5 back mountain crowd might mix but come casually. I love this place! There are some private rooms upstairs and private rooms downstairs are under renovation.

Very cool place and very good food. Nothing more than that, but it was real. I had grilled salmon and salad. My companion had pork chops. The pork chops were delicious but I wasn't in the mood to eat something that heavy. Probably a cool local lunch because it's very close to Hart's Senate office building.

Monocle is highly recommended and that is exactly what we need to end our morning visit to Parliament House. Great food. Fabulous service. Selected wines. Feel like the kind of person that matters in the Washington, D.C. area, maybe having lunch, although we didn't hear any big deals coming. We had chicken strip salad and sandwich salmon sandwich. Both were delicious. The experience felt very DC!
