The Devon Doorway

I have dined at this restaurant on a number of occasions and have always found it good.Granddaughter , Celeriac Stk ; Boy Friend Sun Fig Both super ; Wife & I both roast beef, excellent but my wife found it too much. Suggestion - include “smaller portions in your menu.

Loved the food and the service was great, only thing I would say is the table we were sat at was very, very close to the next table and when a couple were brought to it they actually asked to be placed somewhere else. In todays climate it should be removed or moved further away.

What a great place to eat we were met at the entrance with a very warm welcome then guided to our table by a very engaging member of staff for whom nothing was to much trouble. The food was really good and came in timely courses so we could enjoy our conversation, no rush to get us out just a most pleasant experience.

The food was great. The restaurant seemed very clean however we were sat by the door and the reception/ greeting area was full of cardboard boxes, personal handbags, phone charges and fizzy drinks. If this was changed it would be much more welcoming. The food was tasty, the service excellent and the overall experience was good. A few minor tweaks (especially in view of customers) would go a long way,
