Peacook Cafe is a very nice place for afternoon tea. It has both indoor and outdoor areas. If the weather is good, you can sit outdoors.
It's a very nice coffee shop with a large storefront. I feel the coffee here is better than that in Starbucks. It's not crowded and there's usually no queue. There are many seats and it's quite spacious. The drip coffee there is delicious.
Stopped in for Sunday brunch and glad we made reservations for 1045 as it was busy. Parking in the garage was $6/hour on Sunday. Lots to choose from and would like to go back and try the sandwiches as some had passed and looked good. Several of us had the peacock omelette and it was very good with a side of potatoes. The pancakes were also very good. A little pricey but hey, Georgetown. Give it a try. The staff was very welcoming and attentive.
My friend and I originally ate at the restaurant next door but went to this restaurant for the variety on the menu. I had a homemade veggie burger which was delicious and tasty. My friend enjoyed the combo plate with Caesar salad and a prosciutto Italian sandwich which she also thought was really good! Nice place to sit outside and great service.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food! I ordered the blue crab meal b/c it was gluten free. I was not disappointed! It was a delicious meal. My husband ordered a steak salad, and that was also delicious. They also have several other gluten free menu items as well, which was great to find while on vacation! If we were staying longer, we would eat here again.
What a delightful place! The food could not have been better. The staff was just amazing. The owner came to our table and made us feel special. The place was packed because the food was so good! We had very delicious soup that was cooked to perfection and a sandwich that came on freshly baked bread. The desserts looked delish if we were not so full. This needs to be on your list. You will not be disappointed.
We stopped for brunch on a Sunday morning at Peacock Café on our way through Georgetown. The service was excellent and I'm pretty sure it was one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had. Everything was very fresh, which I appreciated. If you can, the season is right and it's nice to sit outside and enjoy the view and people passing by.
