Gao'an

Gao’an, situated to the west of Nanchang, the provincial capital of Jiangxi, was founded in 201 BCE, and has a history stretching back more than 2000 years. It is referred to as the “industrial base for architectural ceramics in China” and the “hometown of Chinese calligraphy.” High peaks encircle the scenic area of Gao’an Hualin Mountain, with its perilously steep terrain. Daguanlou, with its many layers of antique style eaves, zigzagging winding corridors, and beautiful lattice windows, gives visitors a taste of the simple, understated elegance of days gone by.
