Gaoyou Lake, also called Zhu Lake or Biwa Lake, is located in Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province. It is the sixth largest freshwater lake in China, and third largest in Jiangsu. There are wild wader birds such as ducks, as well as species under national priority protection, such as oriental white stork, red-crowned crane, and little egret. The area is also abundant in organic resources. Over 100 species of plants have been identified so far.
