Located in the city of Georgetown, Penang in Malaysia, this unique museum is definitely an informative and entertaining way to learn about Malaysia’s multi-cultural traditional cuisine. Quite big and a lot to see. The details of each malaysian cuisine was amazing. Nice place to take beautiful photos with cute and delicious props. Definitely the best location to know about Malaysian food for the tourists. Entrance tickets can be booked online or purchased at the museum. Allocate at least one hour to fully appreciate all the displays and taking photographs of the beautiful and skillfully done displays. I decided spontaneously to visit this museum in hopes of learning a bit more about Malaysian food and get ideas of what and where to eat in Penang. The museum was much more interesting and fun than I expected. Not only are the displays realistic and eye-catching, there was also a lot of information on Malaysian history and culture as well as nutrition and health facts. Has many food displays with big displays of Malaysian local dishes like Penang Laksa, Fried Kway Teow etc. Many spots for photo taking in the museums, with different galleries in it. Very informative details provided and exhibits were colourful and maintained well. One of the best museums to visit in Penang!

to fill up times in Penang, one of the many places we visited were Wonderfood Museum in Penang. its located in the middle of the town, its quite difficult to find parking but we managed to get 1. So, it was 2 storey building, got lots of big food (not real food hehe) .. so that you can take picture and read about the history of the foods that they displayed inside. also, there will be photographer who will take your pictures and sell it at the counter at RM50 you can get 2 picture if im not mistaken. but ya, great place to visit with the kids.

After visiting the museum I felt the need to leave a review. Brilliant concept for a food museum. It teaches you, it allows you to interact and have fun with the items, and it has overall a POWERFUL MESSAGE! Food is important in many ways. With my mother we had a great time! You will find massive replicas of local and international food, you can pretend to master a wok, and after all you will see food in a different way after visiting this place. #deliciousfood #penang

The first section showcases over 100 types of popular street foods and traditional delicacies of the Malaysian people. Penang Wonderfood Museum’s giant replica food section in the Wow Zone proves to be a big hit amongst locals and tourists alike. Set along Lebuh Pantai, Penang Wonderfood Museum is a five-minute walk from Queen Victoria Memorial Clocktower Penang. The entrance fee for foreign visitors is RM25 for adults and RM15 for children, while locals (with MyKad identifications) are required to pay RM15 and RM10 respectively.
