Glasgow is the most populous city in Scotland. Glasgow is the third most populous city in the United Kingdom, with an estimated city population of 612,040 in 2016. Historically, but now no longer, part of Lanarkshire, the city now forms the Glasgow City council area, one of the 32 council areas of Scotland; the local authority is Glasgow City Council. Glasgow is situated on the River Clyde in the country's West Central Lowlands. It is the fifth most visited city in the UK. Glasgow grew from a small rural settlement on the River Clyde to become the largest seaport in Scotland, and tenth largest by tonnage in Britain. Expanding from the medieval bishopric and royal burgh, and the later establishment of the University of Glasgow in the 15th century, it became a major centre of the Scottish Enlightenment in the 18th century. From the 18th century onwards, the city also grew as one of Great Britain's main hubs of transatlantic trade with North America and the West Indies. #holidayvacation#wintergetaway#staycation#tripinspired#happynewyear

During my visit to The United Kingdom, I had the chance to visit Glasgow. I am pleasantly surprised how gorgeous this place is. It is as much England as you can get. In this city I enjoy the walking very much and observing the historical buildings and cathedrals. Absolutely great. #merrychristmas #merrychristmas

George Square
Located in the heart of Glasgow, George Square is one of the symbols of the city. In 2011, Brad Pitt chose the location of the "World War Z" location. The buildings around the square are full of Victorian atmosphere. The city hall, the Italian Renaissance style, the entire building is a classic of Victorian architecture. Stairs made of marble and pure white alabaster, exquisite vaults. Here, I even met a performance of a juvenile military band. Military music queues in a neat square

Glasgow has a reputation as a city of architecture and design. Whether it's urban construction or street furniture, it has a rich Victorian style, elegant and generous. Around George Square is Glasgow's commercial centre, and a number of neatly staggered streets like a chessboard are comfortable pedestrian walks. Glasgow is Scotland's largest shopping capital and is considered one of the best shopping destinations in London. From all kinds of first-line luxury brands to niche design.

University of Glasgow
The Gilbert House, the main building of the University of Glasgow, is the second largest Gothic revival building after the British House. The central church is beautiful, this is a popular venue for weddings. There is such a legend that couples who are proposing marriage in the church will be able to say yes smoothly and have a happy life after marriage. If one of the newcomers is alumni/worker at Glasgow University (or the parents of the newcomer are alumni), they can hold a wedding at the church. Just this day, I met a wedding at the door of the church. The groom is handsome and handsome, the bride is beautiful and generous, and the guests present are dressed up. If you don't know the traditional Scottish people, you may be surprised to find out, many men are wearing skirts!
