Tanggula Mountain Pass is the dividing line between Qinghai and Tibet provinces (regions), with an altitude of about 5231 meters. "Tanggula", Tibetan "mountain on a high mountain", is known as "wind and snow warehouse" due to the wind and snow all year round. Tanggula Mountain is the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Nujiang River, also known as Dangla Mountain and Dangkong Ridge. The mountain is more than 150 kilometers wide and is mostly 5,000-6,000 meters above sea level. Its main peak, Gradandong, is more than 6,000 meters above sea level. Origin of the river.  The Hoh Xil no-man's land at its feet is a comfortable pasture for endangered wild animals such as Tibetan antelope.
