Capt.Dell_A380The land was originally used by Indigenous peoples for thousands of years before British Columbia was colonized by the British during the 1858 Fraser Canyon Gold Rush and was one of the first areas to be explored in the city. For many years after colonization, the future park with its abundant resources would also be home to non-Indigenous settlers. The land was later turned into Vancouver's first park when the city incorporated in 1886. It was named after Lord Stanley, 16th Earl of Derby, a British politician who had recently been appointed Governor General. It was originally known as Coal Peninsula and was set aside for military fortifications to guard the entrance to Vancouver harbour. In 1886 Vancouver city council successfully sought a lease of the park which was granted for $1 per year. In September 1888 Lord Stanley opened the park in his name.
E38***43Canada Place was a fun place to visit. There were so many things to see and do. We were lucky to be there during an anime cosplay expo. We're able to interact with cosplayers and ask them for a photo. It's definitely worth visiting!

Nice little Korean spot. The decor and atmosphere is quite cozy and clean. The service is friendly and the food is fresh. Nothing is too powerful in flavor and the portions are an average size. Food on average is around 15 dollars.Deliciouso!
I was excited to see these varities of Veggies and fruits in Richmond Market. I almost made basket full but when I was about to pay oh boy, did I forget that in BC is expensive. Enjoyed roaming around though
Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver’s horticultural jewel, is a major draw for floral display enthusiasts and view-seekers, and as a popular backdrop for wedding photos.
#triplocal beautiful British Columbia - hiked 30km on the panorama ridge trail in Garibaldi to arrive at this magical place with glaciers and clear blue lakes!
Finished filming in Vancouver, time to fly back to Taipei.
One of my favorite places in British Columbia is the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It was originally built in 1889 and is surrounded by a vast forest with wildlife all around. The bridge stretches 140 meters across the valley that it’s in. It’s a great spot for photos because it offers a unique view of the landscape that surrounds it. #awesomepic #britishcolumbia #instagramworthydestinations #unforgettableexperiences
Canada is full of scenery! My favourite part to visit and explore is definitely the west side of the country. Hikes like St. Mark's Summit is truly spectacular! I mean, just look at it!
The hike only takes two hours to complete (4 hours round trip) and you will be rewarded with glorious views.
If you've never hiked before, then make sure you bring snacks, water, electrolytes, flashlight and a fully charged phone with a battery pack! Safety always comes first!
