The ancient coastal site of Qixinggang is located on Pomegranate Gang Road in Haizhu District, closed on Tuesdays. The site is unremarkable, but in the eyes of "experts", it is "world class". It is currently the world's oldest known ancient coastal site (100 kilometers) deep in the mainland. The unique sea erosion landscape is composed of sea erosion cliffs, sea erosion caves and sea erosion platforms. It is a supporting evidence of the changes of Guangzhou's vicissitudes. The low-key "national treasure" relics and treasures have become an important place for geological research, academic education, tourism and popular science publicity.

The ancient coast site of Qixinggang is quite rare in the geological history of the world. Previously, geographers thought: the world's ancient coastline and the width of today's coastline are 50 kilometers. However, the ancient coast site of Qixinggang is more than 100 kilometers from the current coast, which is actually twice the public awareness! Known as the "first ancient coastal site in the world", it is worthy of the national treasure-level sea erosion relics. This was discovered on May 14, 1937, and the found person is Professor Wu Shangshi, Department of Geography of Sun Yat-sen University. Guangzhou Qixinggang ancient coastal site consists of sea erosion cliff, sea erosion cave and sea erosion platform. The sea erosion cliff is frontal and prominent, about 2 meters high. The sea erosion platform is 8 meters wide, about 1.93 meters above the current sea level, and there are sea erosion holes deep 0.3 meters behind the platform. All of this was formed under the action of wave erosion. The site park is small and opened fully after the completion of the second phase last year. The red brick building on the slope is an observation deck. In fact, you can only watch it carefully from the fence below. The top tree of the slope is colorful and the shore is standing. The winter in the south is still green. It takes less than 20 minutes to turn slowly in the small park. The urban park is conveniently located. There are four buses to the "Pomegranate Gang" station. Get off and walk towards the elevated road (east direction), and you will see it on the north side of the intersection. 189 Road to the Pomegranate Gang Terminal has to walk a few hundred meters, not far.
Qixinggang Ancient Coastal Site has been built as a Science Park after many years of protection. Unfortunately, the park is very tall, but the information popularized by science is too little. There is a two-storey exhibition hall in the park, but it has indeed become a sundry house. It is a pity that this precious site.
