Sifang Fort, formerly known as Yongkang Fort. Because the fort is like a square in length and width, it is commonly known as the "square fort". According to Gu Bingzhang's "Humen Inland River Fort Illustrated" (manuscript), the Sifang Fort is an important stronghold for Guangzhou's city defense. "The outer platform is 49 feet and nine feet high, and the height of one meter and seven feet; Taizhongzi platform is 16 feet and eight feet, Two feet and one foot tall.
The site of the Sifang Fort is located at the top of Panlonggang, Yuexiu Mountain, Guangzhou. Built in the tenth year of Shunzhi (1653), it is one of the important relics of the Opium War. In 1999, Guangzhou Municipal People's Government announced it as a cultural relics protection unit.
