It is another taste, and it is also worthy of visitors to stop by. Built in 1931, the church of St. Alekseyev is a brick-and-wood structure originally built as a Orthodox church. It was restored to the Catholic Church in 1980 and is now the Catholic Patriotic Association of Heilongjiang Province and Harbin. The Catholic Patriotic Association and the seat of the Catholic Academic Committee of Heilongjiang Province.
The Alekseyev Church was a product of the Russo-Japanese War. In 1907, the Russian army with the defense was moved from Gongzhuling to Harbin. On February 25, 1912, a wooden church was built at the current site (Demolition on July 13, 2000, when the surrounding environment was remodeled.), in October 1930, next to the wooden church, the building began. The existing church of masonry, designed by Russian architect Smirnov Toftanovsky. It was completed on October 6, 1935 and is now the Harbin Catholic Patriotic Association.
The church was officially opened to the public during the 1980s. Recently, there are friends who are going to play in Harbin. I have to go and have a look. Its really spectacular.
