The only night view spot in Hiroshima that I used to avoid when I heard that it was a gathering place for runaway tribes and runners. I came here for the first time, but unfortunately the observatory was under construction until 2020. The cherry blossoms at Mt. Kogane were also wonderful this year. It blooms relatively early compared to famous cherry blossom spots such as Mt. Hiji. It is a place of relaxation for Hiroshima citizens, whether you can look at it from a distance or go on foot. The view of Hiroshima Port, Hiroshima Bay, and Nijima from here is also very wonderful. For tourists, you need to use a bus, but if you have time, please ask. I often stroll around the flat area about 7 km around the mountain.

I passed through the foot of Mt. Kogane every day, wondering why it was Mt. Kogane, but I never climbed it. Perhaps it did not leak here, and several places collapsed due to the heavy rains in western Japan. I'm convinced when I climb it. The 360-degree view is wonderful and you can feel the big city of Hiroshima.
