High end atmosphere restaurant, authentic Hong Kong old taste, unique style, representing the classic Cantonese cuisine
Many restaurants have been closed during the epidemic, 78 years of the old celery [record] Central May 18th started renovation, to be reopened in July. The Willington Street in the middle of the century, besides the famous roast goose, the interior decoration is also very particular, there are many pictures of the classics. These precious memories, such as the statue of Wang Xi, the goose pond, and the inscription ｢ Guoji Restaurant Tianxia No. 1 ｣ by Lin Yutang, will be all retained, and the 18-arhats in the Qinghuayuanli, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, who has been accompanying you for more than 20 years, will likely retire.
The Tsui Wah flagship store opposite Yong Kee has been completely closed. Due to the impact of the epidemic, Yong Kee’s business has also declined. Taking advantage of this time, Yong Kee Restaurant was temporarily closed for renovation. I couldn't eat it for a while, so I opened the previous photos to relish the aftertaste. Yung Kee’s roast goose is indeed well-deserved. It is plump and tender, shiny, and plum dipped in sauce, which makes the index finger move. The service is also really good, in short, the overall dining experience is much better than Gan Brand Roast Goose, mainly because the restaurant is large and the service is good, of course, the price is also expensive. But as far as the taste of roast goose is concerned, I like both of them, and it is difficult to distinguish them.
This restaurant is in Central, not far from the Central MTR station. This restaurant is famous in Hong Kong. When you go to the restaurant, you must order siu mei. I ordered a roast goose. The taste is really delicious, with crispy skin. Tender.
The sign of the restaurant in a local tycoon gold background, must look up to see, this is tall. The doorway post notice: "Internal renovation, see in September!" Maybe after the decoration will be higher and bigger.
amazing food delicious and cheap
This is a must try for roast gooseWe recently went on a food trip with a brother who is a Su chef in New York . One has to make reservations as this restaurant gets full. The roast goose and jellyfish was excellent. This is a must try !
Its all about the gooseWalked in with no reservation and easily got a table for 5 of us. Food was all very good, fresh, tasty. The goose, however, was outstanding, especially when dipped in the yummy little fruity sauce which accompanied it. Go get goosed!
Good location and good foodYung Kee restaurant in Central area in Hong Kong island is a good restaurant. We didnt find a table for 4 on the ground level so we were taken to the top floor. It was interesting. The place was very busy but the food came in time. We had the famous roast goose there. The prices are on the higher side. Staff was very friendly. Overall, good food, good location.
Good Local Food in Bustling AtmosphereYung Kee in Central is still delivering great food quality and a wonderful Hong Kong eating experience. Goose is the speciality here and the various pork dishes along with the fish dishes are all excellent. If you are unsure what to order the servers can recommend a set of dishes based on the size of your party. We have been going there for many years and they are still providing a great Hong Kong culinary experience
