The old police station in Stanley, built in 1859, is one of the six earliest police stations in Hong Kong. However, five other police stations have been demolished. So this police station in Stanley is the oldest police building in Hong Kong, although it is now a supermarket in Huikang. Entering the supermarket, I was surprised to find that there were baking utensils and ovens in the supermarket, because the beach in Stanley is a famous barbecue tourist hotspot. On the opposite side of the old police station is the newly built Stanley police station.
Although changed to supermarket, but from the terrazzo floor, the armrest can still see the style of the past, and because the old mother is shopping and not so cold. The stanchions are scattered with interesting places worth walking around, waiting for you to find them.
The Old Stanley Police Station is one of the oldest British buildings in Hong Kong. It is a two-storey gray-white bungalow. The front and rear of the building are equipped with balconies, which are beautiful and concise in design. Now it has become a supermarket and its appearance is well preserved.
It allows visitors to follow the Jute Corner Road on the map to reach the terminal of the Stanley Hiking Line, the Stanley Fortress. On the way, they pass through small scenic spots such as the Military Tomb and Xie** Seaside Leisure Square. The whole journey takes about 20 minutes, and there is a 5-minute long hill climb. The whole journey is relatively relaxed and the scenery is good. Of course, when we arrived at the Stanley Fortress, we found that it had become a military administrative area. It was not open to the outside world and could only return in its original way. O () o ()
The most famous police station in Hong Kong is Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station, which has its own scenes in numerous TV series, but the oldest police station in history is Stanley Police Station. As the southernmost police station on Hong Kong Island, it also undertakes strategic use, which was jointly used by the British and police forces after its completion in 1859. During World War II, it was captured by the Japanese as a regional headquarters. Don't look at a small two-story building, it's a war witness.
To be honest, this scenic spot has been searching for us for a long time, because it is indeed marked on the map, but when we went to this marked place, we found only one supermarket. Later, when we asked the people next to us, we realized that the original police station had already disappeared, and only one two-storey building was visible, which had been requisitioned by the supermarket.
I watched so many TVBs that it tasted good to see any police station.
