One of the nicest beaches in Hong Kong. Accessible by a hike from East Dam of High Island Reservoir.
Longgao, said to be the most beautiful beach in Hong Kong, is at the end of the first section of Merriho Trail. Some time ago, when we first took the Malihao Trail, we only went to the East Dam of Wanyi Reservoir and did not go on. At that time, the sea was much more beautiful than the reservoir. This time, we are going to go to the second section of MacLeho Trail. After climbing up a hill in Dongba, we can see the Longgao Beach from a distance. But at this time, the sea is not as lovely as we saw it for the first time. It seems that the mood of the sea is not very good. All the way down to Longgao, there are many camping tents on the beach, the beach is really very thin, the only regret is that the color of the sea is not beautiful enough. We don't have time for more stops. The second section of the 13.5 kilometre McLehoe Trail is our goal today.
