Mong Kok is a popular place to go for shopping and eating! It is similar to Myeongdong in Korea, but the Hong Kong version 😂 So many clothes and street food to buy in this area 👍 You can spend hours walking around this area
There's something about Hong Kong that's difficult to describe. Even though it's a very busy city, we felt totally calm when we were there. The streets are crowded with people, the roads are filled with cars, but you don't get the extreme sounds and smells you get in other big Asian cities. It's a city with a soul, with a vibe, and we love that about Hong Kong.
Mong Kok is one of the major shopping districts in Hong Kong. The area is characterized by a mixture of old and new multi-story buildings, with shops and restaurants at street level, and commercial or residential units above. Major industries in Mong Kok are retail, restaurants (including fast food), and entertainment. It has been described and portrayed in films as an area filled with bars, nightclubs, and massage parlors. Visitors to Mong Kok will experience an authentic version of Hong Kong familiar to locals. Nathan Road is a major thoroughfare through Mong Kok while the parallel Sai Yeung Choi Street is famous for shopping and the neon signs lining the road.
