It is said that Zhao Yu, the late emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty, and his brother Zhao Yu had hid in the hills of Kowloon City to escape the pursuit of the Yuan Army. After Zhao’s death, local villagers took a boulder from the hill where he took refuge and made it into a monument called “Song Wangtai,” which is now located in the garden of Song Wangtai.
