About Hongya: Situated on the southwest edge of the Sichuan Basin, Hongya is part of the "triangle” connecting the major cities of Chengdu, Leshan, and Ya’an. Hongya has been praised as a “green ocean pearl” because of its gorgeous mountains and streams and abundant resources. The area has Qiang ethnic culture, Taoist culture, and Buddhist culture, as well as the folk customs and culture of temple fairs and lantern dances. It has also successfully hosted a number of ecological culture, rhododendron, and ice and snow festivals. Hongya is home to the Wawu Mountain National Forest Park, Liujiang Ancient Town, Qiliping Tourism Resort, and Caoyutan Scenic Area (槽渔滩景区).
