Located in the Republic of the first general Suyu hometown of the southwestern Huitong County in the ancient township of Gaoyi. The village was named for its three sides of the mountain and the water, and its terrain was like a master chair. There were more than 590 families, more than 2,200 people, of whom 85 percent were Yang surnamed, a descendant of the late Emperor Yang Zaisi of the Southern Song Dynasty.

Introduction

Gaoyi Ancient Village is located to the northeast of the Huitong county seat. It's one of the largest villages discovered in the province with such complete ancient civil buildings from the Ming and Qing era, very well-preserved until today> Thus it has earned the "folk museum" designation. It was listed in the sixth group of major historical and cultural sites protected at the national level and in the "Famous Historical and Cultural Towns and Villages" list in June 2005. Many ancient civil buildings are preserved today in the village after more than 500 years, thus offering extraordinary exploratory and tourist value.
