The most impressive thing is the story (Xingcheng)
Known as one of the top ten ancient cities in China, it is listed with Xi'an Ancient City, Jingzhou Ancient City and Pingyao Ancient City in Shanxi as the most intact Ming Dynasty ancient city in China to date... I don't know which authoritative organization rated it I haven't been to Jingzhou Ancient City, the remaining two have a high status in the rivers and lakes, and it always feels like a hot search when listed together
The ancient city is very square, with the Bell and Drum Tower as the center, two main streets in the shape of a cross, four city gates in the southeast, northwest, and a perfect square.
First talk about the "ancient" of the ancient city, the official introduction mainly includes the city wall, four city gates, bell and drum tower, archway, Confucian temple, but apart from the uneven blue bricks on the ground and the ancestral archway with a strong sense of vicissitudes, the city wall and the bell and drum tower feel too "new" (the Confucian temple is not open), a bit over-repaired, and it doesn't look much different from those ancient cities that have sprung up in the past two years
Then talk about management level, all scenic spots are not open on the first day of the new year, it seems that local finance should not be short of money; although there are many toilets, they are all in remote corners, and the hygiene level is really worrying, still in the state of wind blowing eggs and buttocks cool, refer to Figure 20; except for the bustling main street in the north-south direction, there are many shops (accurately speaking, only half from the south gate to the bell and drum tower), including the main street in the east-west direction is very desolate, the buildings are basically in the early 1990s, it is good for those born in the 70s and 80s to recall the bitter and sweet ; the main street in the ancient city is originally narrow, and the flow of people is the most concentrated, but the vehicles are not restricted, it is strange, it seems that this is a living ancient city, the residential property is stronger than the landscape property
However, even if there are thousands of dissatisfactions, I do not regret coming here, a Ningyuan City title is worth the ticket price. Yuan Chonghuan, Nurhaci, Huang Taiji, Zu Dashou, Zu Dale, Dorgon, Wu Sangui... too many stories happened here. Of course, the most famous is the Ningyuan Victory, after all, Nurhaci drank hatred here in the northwest
According to incomplete statistics, the national leaders and commanders who were hit by long-distance non-sniper weapons in front of the battle include, Xiao Dalin (Alliance of Chanyuan), Mongke (God's whip), and Nur... Without Zhu Di's divine power to protect the body, the power of swords and swords to bypass, why are you rushing forward?
Ancient city in winter
A visit to Xingcheng is incomplete without a tour of the ancient city. Unfortunately, it's too cold, there are hardly any tourists in the ancient city, and almost all the shops are closed. Oh, the tourist season in the north.
Next spring, when the flowers bloom, the ancient city will still be crowded with tourists.
An ancient city that you would want to visit again.
The place where the famous general Yuan Chonghuan once stationed
🏮 Xingcheng Ancient City, one of the four best-preserved ancient cities of the Ming Dynasty in China, is located in the center of the old city area of Xingcheng City, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. Xingcheng Ancient City is a square fortress with four gates in the east, south, west, and north.
⛩️ In the Ming Dynasty, Xingcheng Ancient City was called Ningyuan Weicheng, where the famous general Yuan Chonghuan once stationed. Yuan Chonghuan defeated the two attacks of Nurhaci and Huang Taiji with less than 20,000 troops, which was historically known as the 'Ningyuan Great Victory', one of the classic examples of winning with fewer in Chinese history.
🔔 There is a bell and drum tower in the city center, which is 17.6 meters high and is a double-eave Xieshan Juanpeng top gallery-style tower. There is a huge drum inside the tower, with a diameter of 2.25 meters, which is the largest military drum in Asia, and the big drum is made of a whole cowhide.
🌈 Standing on the bell and drum tower and overlooking Xingcheng, the streets are full of shops, and the hustle and bustle of people coming and going. The distant Shoushan is graceful and charming, and the entire ancient city scenery is in sight.

Panjin's Red Beach, the world's red coastline
To the left is the charming and continuous Red Beach, and to the right is the boundless reed marshes. The Red Beach starts off tender red in early April, gradually darkening, turning from red to purple in October, with the best viewing time from May to October. Here, the fish are plump, the crabs are delicious, the rice is fragrant, seagulls accompany the oil pumps, and the Red Beach reflects the red-crowned cranes, where modern civilization coexists with the original. It is characterized by the globally rare Red Beach, supported by the world's most intact and largest wetland resources, with the world's largest reed marshes as the backdrop, and together with tens of thousands of rare waterfowl and the endless shallow sea beaches, it forms an ecological scenic corridor.
The scenic area relies on the Red Beach resources, reed resources, bird resources, river and sea resources, and marine products, focusing on integration with nature and the concept of sustainable development, making full use of the Red Beach wetland resources and the existing coastal highways within the scenic area to develop distinctive tourism products. The area has planned and built the Love Red Beach Zone, Dynamic Coast Zone, Marine Pasture Zone, Passionate Years Zone, and Pastoral Joy Zone. The five thematic zones focus on leisure sports, leisure agriculture, leisure fisheries, love and wedding celebrations, and petroleum sightseeing, aiming to create a theme tourism area full of leisure and fun. The scenic area, through high-level planning and creativity, has formed a brand image centered on the 'Red Beach National Scenic Corridor', with self-driving camping at the Red Beach as the representative product, outdoor recreation products such as bicycle roaming, slow travel products for love such as the Love Declaration Corridor and Love Cabin, and industrial sightseeing products represented by petroleum culture popularization and petroleum industry landscape photography, creating a distinctive national leisure corridor.
The Red Beach Scenic Corridor has been designated as a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The National Scenic Corridor is the unique 'world's red coastline', also known as 'China's most exciting leisure corridor' and 'China's most romantic recreational coastline'. The China Wedding Association has awarded the Red Beach National Scenic Corridor the honor of 'China Wedding Culture Industry Base'.

🟠 Introduction
Red Beach National Scenic Corridor is the unique 'World Red Coastline', also known as 'China's most exciting leisure corridor' and 'China's most romantic recreation coastline'. The China Wedding Association has awarded the Red Beach National Scenic Corridor the honor of 'China Wedding Culture Industry Base'.
In January 2020, the Red Beach Scenic Corridor was designated as a national 5A tourist attraction.
🟡 Location
Red Beach is located in the southwest of Panjin City, Liaoning Province, at the mouth of the Liao River, known as the 'World Red Coastline'. Here, the Red Beach is characterized by wetland resources and reed marshes as the background.
🟢 Formation Reason
Firstly, Panjin Red Beach is composed of thousands of alkali bulrushes, which are suitable for survival in saline-alkali soil.
Secondly, the soil of Panjin Red Beach is fertile, the hydrological conditions are unique, and the alkali bulrush has a strong adaptability, forming the Red Beach.
Finally, the formation of Panjin Red Beach is closely related to thousands of alkali bulrushes. These alkali bulrushes contain sedimentary organic matter, which is suitable for survival on saline-alkali soil.
Therefore, the formation of Panjin Red Beach is the result of multiple factors.

Bijia Mountain Babysitter-level Strategy, just afraid you won't read it
Bijia Mountain Babysitter-level Strategy, just afraid you won't read it!
Summer is here, and it's the season for rafting again!
I've been to Gulong Gorge and Huangteng Gorge N times, this time let's have fun at Bijia Mountain
~
Tickets: (Picture eight) You can order on-site and pick up tickets on-site at a certain platform, waterfall 68, rafting 88, combo ticket (waterfall + rafting) 128.
~
🚪Behind the Tourist Center is the changing and shower area, where you can store items, regular lockers 30 (plus a deposit of 20), lockers for valuables 50 (no deposit required), and the storage lockers can be opened multiple times a day.
~
🏨Save money tips:
➡️The entrance for hiking and rafting are separate, so if you bought a combo ticket, you can go hiking first, put your things in the storage locker/car, after coming down from the hike and having lunch, then take your things to go rafting;
➡️If you are driving yourself, you can just leave your things in the car without renting a locker (saving a little money), because the changing room is connected to the parking lot, and you don't need a ticket to enter or exit
➡️There's not much to eat at the Tourist Center, for lunch you can go to the neighboring 'Kengkou Meishi Village' (just look to the left from the Tourist Center, there's a staircase on the left side of the parking lot that you can go down), the food is decent and the price is reasonable.
~
▲Bijia Mountain Scenic Area is divided into hiking and rafting areas:
🚶🏻♂️Hiking area (Opening hours 8:30-17:30)
The essence lies in the Jiuchong Waterfall and Qianggu Creek:
①Jiuchong Waterfall, as the name suggests, is definitely very tall, the silver curtain cascading down from high is spectacular and cool!
②Qianggu Creek, a fun and photogenic place. There are both interesting mountain climbing paths like floating board bridges, rope bridges, rafts, and ordinary mountain climbing stairs. Two modes, switch as you like~
Rafting area (Opening hours: Monday to Friday
14:00-15:00, Saturday and Sunday 13:30-15:30)
If it's not the opening time, they won't open the sluice to release water, so it looks a bit dry and a bit low, the editor initially thought it was just! like! this! Felt cheated by the photos, but it got better when it was time to release water, the scene was okay
~
Rafting essentials list (Picture seven)
Powerful weapon: water scoop! A spoonful is refreshingly cool
Protective measures: goggles! To see clearly where the enemy is
~
⭐Overall, Bijia Mountain is very suitable for team building and family trips! Its rafting has exciting parts, but it's not too thrilling, suitable for first-time rafters or those who are a bit scared. So~ this summer, if you want to play in the water without the crowds and long lines, you can come to Bijia Mountain.
Because it's sluice-released water, the rafting is open for a limited time. Those who arrive early can hike first and then raft (hiking back and forth takes about 2 hours), those who arrive late should raft first and then hike (otherwise you might miss the rafting time)
The rafting stream water is very cold, and the showers only have cold water without hot water, so it's best to drink a cup of ginger tea to ward off the cold after playing Bijia Mountain
This is my first visit to Shenzhen, and I only went to this free version of the City of Music
Actually, I have passed through Shenzhen many times,
and it's a pity that each time was just a brief pass-through,
without the time to stop and
properly explore this beautiful city!
This time, passing through Shenzhen again for a transfer,
I deliberately left one night for myself,
and this time, I went to the Shenzhen version of the City of Music that I've longed to visit!
📍Location: Bijia Mountain, Shenzhen
🚌Transport: Take Shenzhen Metro Line 9 to Yinhu Station, exit B, walk to the east gate to go up the mountain, and follow the trail for 20 minutes to reach the viewing platform.
The weather in Shenzhen this season is so comfortable, neither cold nor hot, perfect for walking. A 20-minute hike up the mountain is not tiring at all, making it a very friendly hiking spot in Shenzhen. The key point is that it's also free.
📸Photo Tips
1️⃣The best spot for photos is definitely the viewing platform, where you can stand above and use a telephoto lens to take a picture with the city.
2️⃣You can also walk to the side of the viewing platform, where the angle makes it look like it's hanging in the air, which feels very impressive.
3️⃣Try to arrive before sunset for photography, so you can capture the beautiful light, and then it's just the right time to take pictures of the blue hour and head down the mountain.
4️⃣As the weather gets warmer, mosquitoes gradually start to appear, so take precautions against them when going up the mountain at night.
Nine-Gate Water Great Wall Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
[Mid-Autumn Self-driving Nine Gates Water Great Wall] I took my mooncakes from Dalian, sat on the high-speed rail and joined my parents, and drove the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday together. After the autumn rain, I came to the Great Wall on the water in Jiumenkou! Located on the outskirts of Yuzhong County, the Great Wall of Jiumenkou Water is located at the junction of Liaoning and Hebei provinces. It was built in Beiqi and expanded in the early Ming Dynasty (1381). It is connected to the Great Wall in the direction of the Southern Shanhaiguan, and has been extending northward to the Jiujiang River, and then built a huge spanning river bridge over a hundred meters, named after the city's nine diarrhea gates.
The Great Wall on the water and the tunnel under the city complement each other
Located at the junction of Hebei and Suizhong County, the Jiumenkou Great Wall connects Hebei and Liaoning. This is a place with stories, but these stories are quite tragic. Walking on the Great Wall and into the tunnel feels like crossing to the ancient battlefield, experiencing the feelings of the ancients, and sighing at today's life.
Longhuitou Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The place where Emperor Qianlong looked back more than once
❤️Longhuitou is located in Xingcheng City, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, 2 kilometers south of Longwan Beach. Here you can overlook the entire Longwan Beach, which is one of the important tourist attractions in Huludao.
💜It is said that when Emperor Qianlong came out to play, he passed by here on his way back to Beijing, and he looked back more than once when he saw this beautiful scenery. This is the origin of Longhuitou.
🧡The Longhuitou viewing platform is located on the mountain and by the sea, nearly a hundred meters above sea level, with beautiful scenery. Looking far away, under the steep cliff is the vast sea, and in front of you is the beautiful coastline. Here you can truly experience the vastness of the sea.
