This restaurant serves buffets every evening and I had it once before but this time I went for a la carte. I had some local Pakistani food that I already forgot the name of but it was a mix of spinach and goat cheese that was rather spicy. Together with bread and rice it was quite good. There is no alcohol in this restaurant so I had to manage with water. The menu has a good variation and serves both pizza, pasta, local Pakistani food and other asian food. The restaurant is spacious and have luxourios feel. Nice decoration and funiture. The celiling is probably nearly 10 meters high.

So I just had the iftar buffet at Zamana with a couple of friends. The ambience as you would expect during Iftar is loud, and if your looking to have a relaxed iftari and dinner this is not the place for you. The food was alright, the shawarma&#39;s were the only thing I really liked, although they weren&#39;t anything special. The BBQ selection was pretty half hearted. The iftar snacks were pretty much abysmal. The cold, tough pakoras were pretty off-putting. For 2500 per person, I would NOT recommend this place for iftari. However I remember having had breakfast in previous stays at Serena, at the Zamana restaurant, and those were perfectly fine! Guess it is their iftari buffet that is disappointing.

As the title of my review suggests, the place is really beautiful &amp; ambience is soothing &amp; calm. One can get really good &amp; relaxing feeling as they enter the hall. Seating arrangements are also fine &amp; staff is cooperative though service is very very slow if you ask for nan serving or extra spoon you have to wait long since there are only a couple of waiters working over there. Coming to the food, if you are a true Pakistani you will hate this place due to the quality &amp; taste of food they serve. Except biryani, I couldn&#39;t find any single dish that was good looking or good in taste. Mutton was not fresh or properly cooked, rest of the food is usually foreign cuisine including Italian, thai , Chinese etc. One more thing , the Masoor Daal they cooked was really the worst I ever had, it was literally just the boiled daal with no spice or flavor. Some of the thai or Italian cuisine they serve are not familiar to Pakistanis so I wouldnot comment on that. Sweet dishes were also not up to the mark except a few. My guests from Lahore were really disappointed &amp; they just ate fresh fruits &amp; salads. It was a huge embarrassment &amp; waste of money going to Zamana. Now I understand why most of the people prefer the other hotel over serena.
