This has been on my bucket list for years! I would suggest paying a bit more right at the entrance and skipping the gigantic line, it is not much more in the grand scheme of things. The inside is breathtaking. If you are in Istanbul you have to go, you just have to.
The Hagia Sophia is a must-see exhibit. there are many people lining up at the entrance. if you have credit-card,best to use credit card at the machine to buy ticket and avoid the wait . the admission is 72 Turkish Lira. dont forget to visit the 5 tomes of the Sultans, located ‘to the left after exiting the Hagia Sophia’. the entrance to the tomes are free, but must remove shoes prior to entrance of each tome.
Trip.com is a great application that is user friendly and I’ve made all my ticket bookings for my trips the last 3 months. all good!
most fascinated place that I ever visited. the grandeur of architectural and interior design.
Hagia Sophia - former Christian Cathedral, later an imperial mosque. Built in AD 537. Breathtaking! Unusual mix of 2 religions. Entrance ticket - 72 TRY (in July 2019). The best time for visiting - 9 am, at that time you will have a chance to enjoy the beauty without hundreds of tourists.
Hagia Sophia Museum is a must go place in Turkey. If you’re in Turkey but not in Istanbul then you must make effort and visit this worth visiting museum. It has religious history from Christian to Catholic and Muslim influenced. This place offers benches for tourists to sit and enjoy the video.
visiting Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom), Christianity’s first mighty cathedral — now a museum — inaugurated by Byzantine Emperor Justinian in Constantinople in 537, is a mixed blessing. Nothing can undercut the raw power of this huge structure, constructed in less than six years. Nothing can prevent glimmers of its former splendor from piercing my soul.it is great place. i recommended to visit it.
