New Mosque

A series of semi-domes surround a main dome. The broad dome inside the mosque is decorated with golden leaves, carved marble and colorful tiles, which makes the mosque gorgeous. I wanted to walk around and have a good look, but I was told by the staff that the prayer time was about to start and the tourists needed to leave as soon as possible. We had to glance at it in a hurry. Sure enough, there are more and more local people coming to pray. This "box "sitting in the back of a few older Christians, it must be extraordinary status.

It's the first mosque you'll see when you arrive at Eminonu. When I visited, it was under construction on a large scale, and I was disappointed that I couldn't see the ceiling.

But there are also believers praying, and later participated in the day tour in the itinerary. A guide told us that the form of religious life in Turkey is very flexible. Everyone has to pray at least 5 times a day. This cannot be changed, but it can be arranged according to their own working hours. It does not have to be fixed. And listening to prayers from the loudspeakers of the mosque, you can also pray at home.
