Udo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
I took the photo of my life on Jeju Island
The jelly sea of Udo Island is too piu bright
Make sure to check the weather in advance before you go!
It's very likely that you won't be able to get on the island on rainy and windy days
Our East Line day tour was not bad💰158
🚗Shiji Kezhi👉Udo Island👉Sunrise Peak👉Sun Moon Beach
✔️Shiji Kezhi
Free🆓, there is a black reef sand beach that is very photogenic, very similar to the black sand beach in Iceland!
✔️Udo Island:
1⃣️Take the boat directly: you need a boat ticket💰10000➕Korean won/person, you can take the bus🚌/rent a bicycle🚲/rent a small electric car (more freedom) on the island
2⃣️The tour guide drives the boat: a total of 💰30000 Korean won/person (we chose to drive)
✔️Sunrise Peak
The route on the left is free, you need a ticket💰5000 Korean won/person to go up the mountain, if you want to climb the mountain, you can go up and take a look, I personally think it is unnecessary
✔️Sun Moon Beach
It is also a beautiful beach, compared to Udo Island, it is more gentle and calm, there are large windmills around, very photogenic! The large floor-to-ceiling window cafe is opened here~
The East Line is really good for taking pictures! I took hundreds of photos in one day
Jeju Island day tour, the beauty of Moontinri in winter is like a painting
I don't regret coming to Korea in winter
What I regret is spending most of the time in Seoul
If you are traveling to Korea in winter
Be sure to leave some time for Jeju Island
-
The winter in Jeju Island is super warm
The temperature is in the teens during the day
Much warmer and humid than Seoul
There are also beautiful natural scenery and countless seaside cafes

· Dongmun Market, City Hall University Road|These two places are for eating, shopping and buying things, where local young people have a lively nightlife
· Udo Island|Check-in point: Jelly sea, bicycles and island buses can be rented on the island, you need to take a boat to get there, it is quite far
-
🌙 Moontinri is the most beautiful place I think, so I spent most of my time here; Udo Island is quite far and troublesome, I feel the scenery is similar to other islands, I personally feel it can go or not
📝I signed up for a day tour group, 100+ RMB. Taxis in Korea are quite expensive, if you want to visit all the attractions in one day, joining a group is the easiest and most cost-effective. I left at 7:30 in the morning and returned to the city around 6 pm
Three days and two nights in Jeju Island
Jeju Island in the off-season is a paradise for self-healing
This time I stayed in Yayue Village
A place where you can see the sea and the lighthouse when you open the window
The day I arrived, my hat flew off as soon as I got out of the taxi without any precautions
Put down my luggage and take a walk nearby
The wind is so strong that I walk two meters and retreat three meters
Decided to eat barbecue in the nearest restaurant
After eating, I went back to the hotel and took a rest
Took the bus to Ilchul Peak to watch the sunset
Hahaha, yes, watching the sunset at Ilchul Peak
The wind was a bit smaller at this time
The weather is not so cold, very comfortable
Came when it was about to close, few people, equivalent to a private booking
In the evening, I went to a popular restaurant that is the same as the one in the love series
The dishes are indeed very fresh and the prices are quite affordable
The lobster ramen can be said to be the ramen of my life
So fresh that it's amazing!
The next day I slept until I woke up naturally, it was a cloudy day
There is sun, but not much
Find a coffee shop nearby and have a beautiful breakfast
Why say it's beautiful, it's literal
Beautiful scenery, beautiful food
Then I took the bus to the pier
Boarded the ship to Udo
Wow, the scenery is really good
Without an international driver's license, I could only rent an electric bicycle
It's not bad, it's not tiring at all
But we sat down at the first beach
Never got up again until the return trip
The dong of the jelly sea is the dong of heart
The seawater is really like jelly, duangduang
Sitting on the beach eating a fish cake
The soup base is actually made of kelp, another little surprise
In the evening, I went to the same barbecue omakase as the love series
The meat quality is definitely not as good as the one I ate the day before
The main thing is to experience the different tastes of different parts of the pig's body
The service is excellent, just open your mouth all the way
On the third day, I still slept until I woke up naturally
Went directly to Xiaocai Beach to eat at the same restaurant as Gong Liu and Lee Dong Wook
The seafood pancake is fragrant and crispy, very, very delicious
Other dishes did not leave a stunning feeling
Although it rained heavily this day
But the transparency of Xiaocai Beach is not inferior to Udo
I also met a magpie during the walk
This place is so comfortable, I want to stay for a few days next time
Please your stomach in Udo Island, Jeju 😋
Name 📝: Udo 牛島
Access📍: take a 15-minute ferry from the main Jeju Island at Seongsan Port.
Usually it’s a recommended half-day destination if you go to Jeju Island.
Famous for ✨
1- peanut 🥜 ice-cream that even the famous Korean band BTS went for a cup
2- its Ja Jeong Myeon (noodles with minced meat sauce) - see the photo
3- its female divers 海女 - even women in their 90s still free dive deep into the sea to catch seafood such as abalone and whelk. There are diving shows several times a day where you can pay and watch. You can also buy the seafood they just caught for someone to cook for you and eat straight away - super fresh and delicious 👌🏽
4- its relaxing landscape - there are small hills and many viewpoints to overlook the entire islands. You can rent a bike to cycle around the island easily

Hamdeok Beach
Hamdeok beach is a northern Jeju Island beach and is truly beautiful. Built up with volcanic rock, the islands layout is unique. Walk out to the bridge which allows you to access the singular picnic bench overlooking the water.
The water and its various shades of blue is spectacular, the rocks stick out creating new shapes in the beach area.
Activities can be taken on here - such as kayaking, jet ski or paddle board as well as scuba diving.

Cocotero - Jeju Island
Located opposite Hamdeok Beach, there’s so many choices of Korean BBQ and other food. Mixed in you can find Cocotero, they have a small menu but the pizzas are huge! Definitely a meal you will have to share.
Prices here are a little higher than some of the chicken places - 29000won for the large pizza but you won’t need to buy more than one between two.
Drinks are standard - beers served cold and small other selection.
Ordering is completely tableside - the iPad screen attached to your table is the order.
Atmosphere - funky, could almost become a party.

🇰🇷 Egg Drop at Jeju Airport
I came a bit earlier to Jeju airport because I wanted to have Egg Drop for lunch. This is a popular sandwich shop as there are seatings area for the Jeju airport branch. You will use the self service kiosk to order and collect it when the staff page for your number. They are poplar for their scrambled eggs style sandwich. I ordered a set meal and an extra sandwich. Their bacon and turkey versions are also popular if you are a meat lover. Their eggs are fluffy and they added sugar to the toast too. It is great for a quick meal.

🇰🇷 Check in Air Busan
There are 2 terminals at Jeju airport, international and domestic. But for tourists, you will have to enter using the foreigner lane. The Jeju airport departure hall is so pretty and there is a large whale with many LED lights. My check in counter for Air Busan is just right here. This whale will also change colours. Jeju airport is very efficient and you can use the self check in counter to check in or proceed to counter for manual check in. My $50 Air Busan one way from Jeju to Seoul includes 15kg check in luggage. It was a deal I got from Trip app.

When I went there, I didnt feel very crowded. I will be there soon, and the customs clearance is very smooth. However, when you return to the city, you will faint, because you have to refund the tax, so first queue up to go to the tax rebate, and then go to get the ticket and line up, people are too many, I feel that at least 3 hours in advance may not have time. Feeling surrounded by purchasing, huh, huh. The security check is still ok. After entering, the tax refund is arranged on the opposite side of the 16th door, and the payment is directly paid to the account. The convenience is convenient. Then go to the duty-free shop, in fact, is to bring cosmetics to friends, the mask is very cheap, dead, almost overweight, the next time is not happy to bring. There are not many places to visit, plus dinner is full, so there is nothing to go shopping, while the tax-free extradition field is shocking, blue plastic bags are flying all over, people can buy cosmetics can use sacks Come and install, everyone is fascinated and interesting. There are snacks in the queue, and the airport is still too small. However, the introduction is the third largest airport in Korea, second only to Gimpo and Incheon in Seoul.

Hallasan in Autumn
Fancy a one-day hiking challenge? Try hiking Hallasan on Jeju Island. The round trip will take around 10 hours if you are a non-hiker, so start early and wear a pair of good shoes that protect your ankle. The path is mostly rocky and steps can be very steep. The views at the summit are breathtaking, but be prepared to queue for a proof-shot for the certificate of completion. Remember to book your slot if you plan to reach the summit!#hallasan #bucketlistreboot

a "UNESCO" hiking trip
#gohiking
The Hallasan National Park is UNESCO recognized, and Hallasan Mountain is the highest point in South Korea, and its volcanic activity millions of years ago is what created Jeju Island. It now stands tall and dormant at the heart of Jeju.
A must-do when visiting Jeju, and it will likely take the whole day to climb and enjoy the sights. It is recommended to bring sufficient water and food for pit stops along the way. Rest and relax at the resting point, but do take note of the time as there is cut-off time to be aware of. So check it out before you start ascending.

Dongmun Traditional Market
Jeju traditional Market is very famous to sell Jeju products. Here the most famous things usually is about an orange juice or orange jam. Also it is about a raw fish. People who come here usually will buy all Jeju products for a gift to the friend of family. The price here is acceptable not expensive. If you want to buy a cheap food I recommend you to buy from that small shop not a restaurant.
