Jinan Fifth Station: Qianfoshan Park. This is a very magical place. The large number of scenic spots make you linger and forget to return. Qianfo Mountain Park needs to arrange a day's trip, so that we can visit slowly and savor carefully. I entered the garden at 12 o'clock and left it at 15:40. Wanfodong could not be visited because of its renovation. Maitreya Shengyuan, which covers an area of 250,000 square meters, only paid a visit. It was no longer strong enough to leave the garden in a hurry, but it was still full of harvest. I really envy Jinan's citizens for having so many sceneries. On the contrary, Shanghai is full of people besides people.
Qianfo Mountain is one of the three major scenic spots in Jinan. It was called Lishan in ancient times. Because it was called Shun's farming in Lishan in ancient times, it was also named Shun Mountain and Shun's farming mountain. During the Sui Kaihuang period (581-600 years), thousands of Buddha statues were carved along the mountain trend because of the prevalence of Buddhism, so it was called Qianfo Mountain. Qianfo Mountain is the remnant of Mount Tai, with an elevation of 285 meters, covering an area of 166.1 hectares, 2.5 kilometers from the center of Jinan City, located in the south of Jinan City Center. It is also known as the three major scenic spots of Jinan with Baotu Spring and Daming Lake. It is the national AAAA-level scenic spot and the ninth batch of national scenic spots. On September 5, 2016, Qianfo Mountain Cliff Stone Statues and Stele Inscriptions are listed as cultural relics protection units in Shandong Province. Qianfo Mountain was called Lishan in ancient times. It is said that when Emperor Yushun was a people, he had plowed under the Lishan Mountain, so it was also named Shun Mountain or Shun Tingshan. According to historical records: during the Sui Dynasty, Buddhism prevailed in Shandong Province. Devoted believers engraved a large number of stone Buddhas along the walls of the mountain, and built the Temple of Thousand Buddhas and got the name of Thousand Buddhas Mountain. Along Pandao West Road, there is a Tang Huai Pavilion and an ancient Huai tree beside the pavilion. It is said that Qin Qiong, a famous general of the Tang Dynasty, was tied here. Halfway up the hill there is a painted archway, namely Qiyan 9 o'clock Fang. Boarding the pavilion, looking north from the fence, Daming Lake is like a mirror near, the Yellow River is like a belt in the distance, and the scenery of Quancheng is at a glance. The stone Buddha carvings on Qianfo Mountain are concentrated on the Qianfo Cliff behind Xingguo Temple. Xingguo Temple, also known as Qianfoshan Temple, was built in the Tang Dynasty, and has been built in many generations. Outside the temple gate, the cliff above the southwest is engraved with the first melting four seal characters, each about 4 meters square. There are more than 60 stone Buddhas in the Sui Dynasty on the Qianfo Cliff, which has a long history and high artistic value. To the east of Qianfo Mountain, there are also stone Buddhas carved on Fohui Mountain. At the foot of the main peak there is a Buddha niche with a head Buddha statue, 7 meters high and 4 meters wide, commonly known as the big Buddha head which is a very rare stone sculpture. Qianfo Mountain is the remnant of Mount Tai. It covers an area of 166.1 hectares at 285 meters above sea level and is 2.5 kilometers away from the city center.
That was quite a lot of hiking through beautiful garden with large trees. To those who haven't been there, watch your steps... The road and stairs get slippery specially on your way back. A good recommendation might be to take the slides on your way back down to the entrance. Have fun :)
A nice easy hike to the top , with great views of Jinan. Definitley a must if you are visiting the city
Autumn is really the best time to climb high and overlook. Qianfo Mountain is located very close to the city centre. It's only 10 yuan from Heihuquan. It was cloudy and cool on the day of climbing. Suitable for a person. Two lovers. A family travels together. It's a scenic spot that Jinan can't miss.
Qianfo Mountain is not very high. It's no problem to go back and forth in an hour. There's no need to take a ropeway or a pulley. There are not many visitors. Jinan local people can handle annual tickets, the price is very affordable. There are Lishan Academy, Guanyin Pavilion, Bixia Temple, Luban Temple and Xingguo Zen Temple on Qianfo Mountain. Guanyin Pavilion and Xingguo Zen Temple are charged admission fees of 5 yuan each. Thousand Buddha Cave also charges 15 yuan.

Qianfo Mountain is located in the south of Jinan city center. It is the remnant of Mount Tai. It covers an area of 166.1 hectares and is 2.5 kilometers away from the city center. It is also called Jinan's three major landscapes with Baotu Spring and Daming Lake. On May 27, 2010, Li Zhaohai, who lives in Jinan, after years of research, found that, according to the GPS satellite map, the surrounding mountain road of Qianfo Mountain constitutes a huge image of sitting Buddha, while the southern mountain of Qianfo Mountain naturally forms a giant image of a turtle, clearly showing a "sitting giant Buddha" landscape. Qianfo Mountain is worth visiting. Only 40 tickets, 20 student tickets and 18 Buddhas with stone sculptures along the main entrance. At the end, there is a sleeping Buddha. Nearby, there is a ten thousand Buddha cave and a door of friendship between China and Korea. Then you can climb Qianfo Mountain to look at Jinan's panoramic view. There are small ornaments on the top of the mountain, stones engraved in Qianfo Mountain and so on. You can go down to see Maitreya Jinfo and burn high incense to seek peace. Ann's Maitreya is also an open plaza for children to play around. Suitable for parent-child travel.
