Sharing the must-visit Kathmandu one-day tour citywalk.

👣Route arrangement:
Boudhanath Stupa——Durbar Square——Thamel Street——Monkey Temple——Pashupatinath Temple
/
1、Boudhanath Stupa:
The Boudhanath Stupa is the world's largest round stupa, and it is a holy place for Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal.
It's more lively in the morning. You can follow the crowd, go around the stupa, and then find a coffee shop to sit and have a cup of coffee, very comfortable!
Ticket: 🎫Ticket: 500 Nepalese Rupees
2、Durbar Square:
The most famous square in Kathmandu, with a group of exquisite ancient buildings, Durbar Square is one of the most famous attractions in Kathmandu, with numerous ancient buildings, exquisite carvings, and mysterious temples that make people linger.
It's especially suitable to come here to understand the culture, take photos, and feel the local life.
Note: There are three Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, namely Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square.
The most famous one is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, but it's also the farthest.
So here we recommend you to go to Kathmandu Durbar Square.
🎫Ticket: 1000 Nepalese Rupees
3、Thamel Street:
A relatively bustling block, and also a block that tourists will visit.
There are various specialties, souvenirs, coffee shops, and restaurants here.
🎫Ticket: Free
4、Monkey Temple:
You can take a taxi directly to the foot of the mountain, and then climb about 300m.
As a monkey temple, it's a gathering place for monkeys, and there are really a lot of monkeys along the way.
When you reach the top of the mountain, you will also be surprised. There are stupas and temples here.
At the same time, it's also a great viewing platform with excellent views, where you can overlook the entire cityscape.
It's great for taking photos or watching the sunset!
🎫Ticket: 200 Nepalese Rupees
5、Pashupatinath Temple:
After coming down from the Monkey Temple, you can go to the Pashupatinath Temple to experience the night ceremony around 6 o'clock.
This is a temple for cremating bodies, where you can feel the cycle of life. It's not recommended for those who are faint-hearted.
🎫Ticket: 1000 Nepalese Rupees
/
'Transportation Guide':
The distance between several attractions is not very far, and the roads in the old city are actually very narrow, with many cars and sometimes prone to congestion.
The recommended way is to take a taxi, which is quite convenient. You can first use the taxi app (pathao) to check the price, and then negotiate with the taxi driver. The taxi fare within the city is about 400-500 Nepalese Rupees.

With its worldly life, ancient architecture, and stupas and temples, Kathmandu is really suitable for citywalk!

Kathmandu's diverse faces...
Duba Square and streets
MEMORYIMAGE©️📷
A purposeless journey.
🌟Highlight features:
The center of Kathmandu is Durbar Square, while the Tamel district in the north of the city is the base camp for independent travelers. Most budget hotels are located in the central area of Thamel, and the ancient, deep and irregular alleys can satisfy your nostalgia.
Durbar Square, here encompasses ancient architectural monuments from the 16th to the 19th century in Nepal. There are more than fifty temples and palaces standing on the square, maintaining their original architectural form and style since the medieval period.
The temples and ancient relics in Durbar Square all look very similar. In order to distinguish them, the square can be divided into two parts. The first part includes: Kumari Temple, Narayan Temple, Shiva Temple, and Shiva-Bhawani Temple. The second part of the square includes: the statue of King Pratap Malla, Hanuman Temple, and Kala Bhairav Temple.
❤ Recommended attractions:
At the end of the first part of Durbar Square, there is the Shiva-Parvati Temple, located at the corner. This temple, mainly built with red bricks, faces the Kumari Temple across the square.
The second part of Plaza de la Doba starts from the statue of King Plata Bumara, which sits high on a pillar. As most of the historical buildings in this area were built under the initiative of King Bumara, later generations erected the statue as a memorial.
Located to the left of the statue of King Malla is the Deogarh Treasures Temple, and on top of this temple building is the former king's private prayer room.
Facing the statue of the king is the Jokhang Temple, a building constructed in the 17th century with a double sloping roof supported by angled pillars.
On the back of the wall of the De Guta Leizhu Temple, there is a large-scale Karl Bairafo relief embedded in the corner of the building.
Passing through the ancient ruins where the statue of King Mara is located, there is a series of buildings ahead. Among them, there is a statue standing on the side of the entrance of the Hanuman Monkey God Palace, which is the mount of Prince Rama in the epic "Ramayana".

Boudhanath Stupa
One of world heritage located in Kathmandu Nepal. The Boudhanath Stupa is very similar to the Swayambhunath Stupa, only it is bigger and enjoys better symmetry. Boudhnath Stupa is famous for sight seeing . For foreign people the ticket price is 250Npr per person.
The Boudhanath stupa is a historical pilgrimage site for all the Buddhists around the world. It was built right after the demise of Lord Buddha during the 5th century AD.
Stunning Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal
Beautiful Bouddhanath stupa is one of the must place in Nepal where we have to visit. It is located not far from Kathmandu international airport and Pashupatinath temple(both are heritage sites). We can plan to visit both places in the same day. Many people go to pay respect and make merit (walking meditation around the stupa and feed the birds)
There are lots of nice cafe surrounding, good to drink and enjoy view if you have enough time.
Lots of souvenir shops surrounding, not that expensive (can bargain).

Boudhanath Stupa. This is what I call serene.#bucketlistreboot#mytripvlog #stupa #nepal #peace #peaceful. Named after its immense stupa, Boudhha is a pilgrimage destination for Tibetans. Devotees stroll around the gleaming white dome adorned with painted Buddha eyes and visit nearby monasteries and schools for prayers and seminars. Tucked-away eateries serve up momos and thukpa noodle soup, while more upmarket restaurants offer stupa views. Silk thangka paintings are a popular buy in the area’s souvenir shops. The vibe and the atmosphere around the stupa always puts to peace.#bucketlistreboot

Stayed in Kathmandu for a month and everything about it was magical😍. Although it was summer, the weather in kathmandu was perfect. It was hot during daytime but cool at night time. We had rainy days which helped with the summer heat and it was just perfect compared to other cities in Nepal, which were just extremely hot.
We stayed in an apartment near boudha and the view was just amazing no matter what time of the day you see it. Especially the Boudhanath Stupa, it was just majestic and magical, you just get a feeling of relief when you watch it, its pleasing to the eye and the soul, it was really fun doing circles around boudha.
Kathmandu is very lively in the day time but even livelier at night. We did frequent thamel which is the place to experience proper nightlife in nepal, it just doesnt sleep. We went to club Platinum , Senate and LOD and had the best experience ever drinking and doing shisha with friends and locals🍾🤩.
Definitely recomment visiting this capital city of Nepal🤩❤️

The Tamil area is the busiest neighbourhood in Kathmandu. It is the most densely populated neighborhood in Nepal and even South Asia. It is also the most abundant nightlife in Nepal, but the crowd is also very uncomfortable.
It is reported that only tourist special vehicles, water supply vehicles, security vehicles and ambulances can enter Tamil after obtaining special permission. However, there are still many cars that will enter narrow neighborhoods.
But in the Tamil area, only two vehicles are free to enter and exit, one is a bicycle, but a tricycle. Bicycles are generally used by hawkers to sell fruit, while tricycles are used to pull guests. When taxis are banned from entering the Tamil area, tricycles become the main means of transportation for tourists.
But the price of a tricycle is not cheap!
Nepal Kathmandu shopping guide, local must buy hand letter sharing
like my share remember "Follow"
will continue to share more than 200 cities in 34 countries to go
, referred to as Jiadu, is the capital of Nepal and the largest city
to Kathmandu shopping. The must-see is Tamil Street, known as Little Hong Kong, which is a place where many tourists gather.
The streets here are very narrow, the shops are dense, many shops are still being renovated, dusty, remember to wear masks.
If you are planning to buy some local specialties and return home, then the hotel near Tamil Street is the best choice.
Address: thamel, kathmandu
How to get there: Take a taxi from the airport for about 500 rupees (30 RMB)
So what can I buy on this street?
1. Local hand-embroidered scarves, coin purses, backpacks, costumes, Kashmir's scarves, etc.
2. Jewelry , crystal enamel, bracelet, ancient
3. Thangka, and other Buddhist supplies
4. Himalayan series cosmetics, medicines
5. Nepalese black tea
Notes :
In addition to some fixed-price items, other items need to be bargained, 1/2 or even 1/4 of the price, can you talk about your skill.
Nepal, seeing her first sight, may not fall in love with her so easily, however, the more you understand it, the more you want to be close to her. . .
The taxi here seems to be still in the early 90s of China, with a small body, dilapidated interiors, and dusty windows. From the airport to the hotel, about 30 minutes by car, when the car left the airport, I realized that I really came to the legendary Kathmandu, the air, the dust. . . Pedestrians walked calmly on the narrow sidewalks. The people sitting in front of the store were two or three people. They smothered the dust, motorcycles, taxis, buses, and piled them into a pile, blocking the road.
Originally thought that dust was the biggest enemy of the city, but found that a heavy rain poured out the dust, but it brought another problem. . . Muddy road. The whole city was not covered with a thick layer of ash, but it was covered with a layer of mud, and later discovered that this is their simplest existence.
Tamil District, this is a very flavored neighborhood, a small and crowded trail, intertwined, here is an old town in Kathmandu, no luxury buildings, only the mark of time.
In the Tamil area, getting lost is a common thing. On both sides of these labyrinths, there are densely packed small buildings, the buildings are not high, and one by one window squats, looking up, there will always be many People squatting on the window sill and looking back and forth to the crowded streets, it seems to be part of their lives.
