It's on the west end of the retro buildings in the old settlement.

I headed south on the street between the Daimaru Kobe store and the Choanmon Gate in Chinatown. This is to see the retro buildings lined up along the street called Kaigan-dori. This Kobe Yusen Building was built at the intersection where the street and the coastal street intersect. This building was built as the former Nippon Yusen Kobe Branch. It seems that the current building was rebuilt after the war, but it was rebuilt as it was at that time, and it was a nice building with a retro atmosphere.
It's located at the western end of the retro buildings lined up on Gulf Street.

I headed south from the Daimaru Kobe store. This is to look around the retro buildings lined up on "Gulf Street" where the highway runs right south. This Yusen Building is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of the wide street leading from Daimaru and Gulf Street. The building was built in 1918 as the former NYK Kobe branch, and has a good retro feel. However, this building was destroyed by the Kobe air raid and was rebuilt afterwards.
I visited as a tourist from Fukuoka in mid-April. The last time was April 2018, so it's just a year. This time, I tried shooting from as far away as possible. Not only the overpass near the building, but also the overpass far away from the top of it! I was satisfied that I found out that it was. I was lucky that the weather was decent.

Historical buildings in Kobe
You will see it right from the Meriken Wharf. I felt a more profound feeling than the photo. Is it because the height of one floor is high?

the place where the old american consulate was located
A retro building is built at the entrance of Meriken Park where the old American Consulate was located. Now there are offices.
