The Kuala Lumpur Railway Station is an exemplary structure of Moorish architecture. The design is a square-shaped castle with railways running through the middle. The "city gates" are there for trains to pass on their way in and out. It is a very intricate design. The trains travel in and out through the city gate, giving the whole station a nostalgic feeling of stepping back in history. The Kuala Lumpur Railway Station was completed in 1910 and was retrofitted with modern facilities in 1986. Travelers can head to Thailand or Singapore from here.
