Zhouzhuang
Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is located southeast of Suzhou City, at the junction of Kunshan, Wujiang, and Shanghai. It is a pre-selected site for World Cultural Heritage and the first batch of national 5A-level tourist attractions. Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is surrounded by water on all sides, with the town formed by the river, streets formed by the water, and the market formed by the streets. The main attractions include Fu'an Bridge, Double Bridge, and Shen Hall. On the well-shaped river, 14 ancient stone bridges built in the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties are well preserved. More than 800 local residents live by the river, and more than 60% of the houses still retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Zhouzhuang is a typical Jiangnan small bridge flowing water, Tang Feng's legacy, Song water lingering, misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River, Biyu Zhouzhuang. Zhouzhuang, which has been nurtured by a thousand years of historical vicissitudes and rich Wu culture, with its exquisite water town style, unique cultural landscape, and simple folk customs

If you like bright shiny things then visiting this ancient town at night will do it for you. It was giving a relaxing and romantic stroll type a vibe. The scenery, shops and just seeing other people walking around was enjoyable. Plus it wasn't as busy and crowded as the daytime was so definitely something to appreciate.

Jinxi Ancient Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Jinxi, The Hometown of Folk Museums in China
Jinxi is located in Jiangsu Province, China, It is a well-known historical town with a history of more than 2,000 years. We drove to Jinxi from Suzhou (about 23 km). Jinxi is also known as Chenmu, which means the tomb of Chen. There is a touchy story about Chen, the concubine of the emperor Xiaozong. Find online for details. Jinxi is a
wonderfully delicate watery town. It is surrounded by clear water and many waterways snaking through the town. Jinxi has 36 bridges and 72 brick kilns. Gulian bridge is the most eye catching bridge among others. There are a lot of museums in Jinxi with delicate articrafts. You can complete the entire place within half day if you start visiting there early morning. You can also plan to check the other two nearby water towns `Zhouzhuang` (China`s no.1 water town) and Tongli.
#watertown #lakes #museum
Jiangnan Water Town is rich in ancient towns: Jasper Zhouzhuang, rich soil Tongli, Fengqing straight, Mengli Xitang, Shuige Wuzhen have their own advantages, and are favored by tourists, but I only have a special liking for Jinxi Ancient Town. She was born in the gentle waters of the south of the Yangtze River, fading away from the commercial prosperity, leaving the simplicity and elegance alone.
The town in the early morning is immersed in the dream, pushing open the red door of the bed and the mottled wooden door. The smoke shop on both sides of the street is not open yet. I walked through the melody of the bird, passed through the unmanned stone road, and met the ancient lotus pond. The lotus flower that just showed sharp corners, the glory of the morning sun just sprinkled, and the ancient lotus bridge not far away outlined the classical silhouette of the hollow, a breeze passed, and the message of early summer came.
Found a short-distance parent-child tour around Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai
location
Jiangsu Kunshan Jinxi
traffic:
at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, no matter where it is not far. Shanghai is driving for an hour, and Hangzhou is driving for more than two hours.
What to play:
There is a rafting boat, there is clay making, there is a woodworking experience, and leather handcraft, of course, the most important thing is that there are young people who are in line with the young peoples aesthetics and have excellent service experience. There is also a group of interesting people who love life and create new things.
Here you can bring the children to experience the local, or you can watch the open-air movies with friends while roasting around the campfire, or drive for a few minutes to visit the nearby Jinxi Ancient Town. (Jinxi Ancient Town has an open water area, which is rare in the ancient town. It is worth a visit.)
Price: The price of the hotel varies from a few hundred to several thousand (village package) according to time. By people.
There are many ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River in Suzhou, but when it comes to the ancient towns of Suzhou, many people think of Zhouzhuang for the first time. It is known as the first water town in China. The tourists are crowded with people. If you encounter weekends or national holidays, it is difficult to walk in the scenic spot. Here, for a person who has lived in Suzhou for many years, it is recommended to visit Jinxi Ancient Town, which is less than half an hour's drive from Zhouzhuang.
Jinxi Ancient Town, recalling Jiangnan in the dream. Jinxi Ancient Town is a water town in the south of the Yangtze River with a history of more than 2,000 years. It is known as the Hometown of Chinese Folk Museums and has many cultural landscapes, historic sites and countless buildings with unique characteristics. Famous attractions include the Tongshen Royal Court, Chen Yushui, and the Lotus Pond.
Visit Jinxi Ancient Town itself does not need to buy tickets, but to visit the museums in the ancient towns, you need to buy tickets, it is recommended to buy a pass, which is more cost-effective than buying a museum ticket separately.
Wenxing Pavilion is located at the bank of Gulian Pool in Jinxi Town, Kunshan City. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and is a three-story pavilion-style building with a square-wood structure and a flying slanting angle of 15.6 meters. It is worth a visit.

Enjoyable Birthday Stay at Dusit Thani!
We had a great staycation over the weekend to celebrate a birthday and a surprise proposal! The concierge team was very kind and helpful with the preparation. Thanks to Mr Muzaffar and his team! It is definitely a night to remember forever!
The first floor room had easy access to the swimming pool with a small terrace of our own. But the sound of the airplane passing by can be a bit loud, so would not recommend the first floor to those who are sensitive to sound during sleep.
Otherwise it was a great escape from the city :)

Xin Yuan Ji - Singapore
📍 31 Tan Quee Lan St, #01-01, 188117
Fish steamboat and fish bee hoon are common food in Singapore. And Xin Yuan Ji is one of the famous stores here.
The store is located around Bugis. It was my favourite lunch the first two weeks when I came to Singapore. I liked to have bee hoon here and it's quite to my taste. 🥣
For those who want a simple meal, a been hoon would be perfect. I would recommend fried fish meat or fried fish head bee hoon. Sliced fish is not so good to my taste. I like fish head more, and add fried egg. 🥚Fried egg is nice, too, you should try.
Steamboat here is also famous but I haven't try. Here is cash only. And they will ask you if you want milk in the soup. 🥛For me milk is the essence for the soup so definitely yes. 😋

Qiandeng Ancient Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Shiban Ancient Town
Qiandeng Ancient Town, located at the south of Kunshan in Jiangsu, was formerly known as 'Qiandun'. It has a long history and beautiful scenery. You can take the subway from Shanghai to Kunshan Huaqiao, which is at the border of Shanghai and Jiangsu, and then transfer to a bus to reach Qiandeng. The ancient town has four major attractions: one is the longest stone slab street in Jiangsu Province, two is the Yanfu Zen Temple, three is the birthplace of Kunqu opera, and four is the hometown of Gu Yanwu. In addition, if time permits, you can visit some other scenic spots.
A one-hour drive from Shanghai takes you to an ancient town
I have almost visited all the ancient towns around Shanghai over the years, and I no longer have much expectation for the ancient towns in the Jiangnan area...
The Jiangnan ancient towns are almost identical, with residences along the water, small bridges over flowing streams, and charged admission to the former residences of famous people; there's also pig's trotters, and 'sock-bottom' crisp pastries...
But occasionally, you can find some differences, such as the Yanshou Zen Temple in Qiandeng ancient town, where the golden buildings under the bright sunshine give an illusion of an autumn that has not yet ended.
Then, you can encounter some shadows that still belong to the autumn days inside the temple, sit quietly for a while, or walk through the old streets and alleys, and order a pot of tea by the lakeside...
This aimless walking and strolling might just be the standard way to enjoy an ancient town, without expectations, all the surprises become delightful. Qiandeng Ancient Town
You don't have to crowd around during the Spring Festival, go to the super artistic village to drink coffee
There is such a utopian ancient village hidden around Shanghai
There are no cheap wholesale small commodities
There are no grilled sausages, milk tea and other ancient town snacks
There are no commercialized ancient town shops
There are only art cafes filled with the aroma of coffee beans and pet-friendly tea shops
📍Detailed address: Xiemabridge, Kunshan
It's friendly for self-driving, it takes 1.5 hours from downtown Shanghai to reach this artistic village
Navigate to the "Xiemabridge Visitor Center" where you can park for free
⏳Play time:
Xiemabridge is not big, you can stroll around for 1.5h. There are not too many attractions, mainly coffee shops and homestays. Few people!! Great for taking photos!!
The whole journey is paved with stone slabs, very suitable for bringing the elderly and children to relax
The whole journey is pet-friendly, but remember to leash
There are aunts selling homegrown vegetables along the way, very fresh
🍽Dining recommendations:
🔸Baisheng Renjia: The per capita cost is not cheap but the taste is very good.
🔸Riverside Coffee: Sells braised pork rice and pasta.
🔸Drinking Tea Bureau: Specializes in tea, drinking tea by the river is absolutely poetic
Nearby attractions:
Qiandeng Ancient Town
If you want to find a less crowded scenic spot for the Spring Festival, Xiemabridge is worth visiting.

6️⃣Moganshan Winter Hot Springs |📍Huzhou
Many people like to go to the north for hot springs, but actually the Moganshan hot springs at your doorstep, many homestays have private baths, high cost performance, good environment, imagine, you are soaking in the hot springs in the bamboo forest, while drinking whisky.

Bed and breakfast at your service 🙌🏻
I found such a good place around Shanghai very accidentally, and it is also very popular! Considering repeatedly choosing to travel before a long holiday, the facts have proved very wise.
I booked room 1 in one go, each with a balcony, bathtub and shower room. The balcony is very large, facing the lake view, and it is very eye-catching.
The service is warm and thoughtful and grounded. The environment is beautiful, the air is fresh, and it is very quiet. The breakfast was good and the room was oversized, suitable for a leisurely vacation and a slow life.
I lived in House No. 1 and sent a half-hour sailing boat. The breakfast was very rich

what a resort, perfect for pets as well
The wooden house is right by the lake, the room is very big, there are several sofas in it, and there is one that can be pulled out as a small bed, which is especially suitable for families with small children. When you check in, you can book a sailboat or a yacht to take pictures on the lake to see the scenery. It is recommended that you can watch the sunset or night lights in the evening, but the staff here should get off work early and know the time in advance. If the amount of breakfast is a little bit more, I suggest you go to the restaurant to eat, because breakfast can be delivered to the room, but the amount is too small to ensure that you are full. There are more mosquitoes outside the house at night, and our doors and windows are kept closed, so we don’t fly into the house at night, ensuring a restful sleep. This is a comfortable and leisurely trip, especially water sports is a very good experience

A very pleasant sailing experience
A very pleasant experience, the hotel surprises the whole family, and it is excellent value for money. The small wooden villa is right by the water, and you can enjoy the beautiful view of Dianshan Lake from the balcony. The hotel service is also very good, responsive, and a half-hour sailing experience was given as a gift, and the children had a good time. Breakfast is freshly cooked, with Chinese and Western styles to choose from, which is more comfortable than a buffet. The family also enjoyed the service of sending dinner into the room without any service charge. Awesome, I would definitely recommend this hotel to new friends, it is very suitable for a family or a group of people for family and leisure gatherings.

The hotel is approximately 31km away from Kunshan South Railway Station. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.
According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.
