They have Kyoto style sushi. I didn't like it because it's mostly rice but it's a different experience.
For a real taste of Kyoto, Izuju is not to be missed!
It was my first time trying Kyoto sushi and it was enough to make me fall in love with it already. Made with heavy vinegared rice, the flavour was so intense that it omitted the need of wasabi or soy sauce, and it went along flawlessly with its signature Saba sushi.
don't go alone. portions are big, impossible to try all the signature items without becoming severely bloated. sushi done differently, deliciously.
100 year old restaurant that serves "Kyoto-style" sushi. But I think I'll just stick with the mainstream. It needs soy sauce!!
Sushi here is extremely good! very flavorful and can be eaten without sauce and wasabi! ❤️
Don't believe this sushi. It's not a fish sushi. It's like sushi without sushi.
I have nothing to compare Izuju's 100 year old recipe against, but the Inarizushi was a revelation. The sabazushi and hakozushi tasted as good as they looked. The sampling set is good value for two.
The sushi here is prepared and served differently than any other other place I have been. Everything you order is served together in one big bowl and the maki sushi is in squares. Great taste though
