This vegetarian cafe is located in the Arashiyama area. It&#39;s a bit far from the train stations, but if you are exploring the temples in the northern part of Arashiyama (e.g. Gio-ji, Seiryo-ji), this is a great stop for lunch or tea. It&#39;s less than 200 m from the west entrance of Seiryo-ji temple. It&#39;s a small place with a simple decor looking into a small garden -- very nice ambiance. There is only one lunch set on the menu, and a few tea snacks. There is no English menu, just tell the owner you want the &quot;vegetarian lunch set&quot; or the &quot;Shyojin Ryori&quot; set. If you approach from the west, it may looked closed as the door facing the street is hoarded up. There&#39;s actually another side door. It&#39;s a delightful cafe that makes a great stop for lunch or tea if you are exploring the northern part of Arashiyama.
