The historic and dumpling shop is very seasonal. I can&#39;t eat it in autumn. The beautiful and dumplings in the photo are mostly limited, and there are not necessarily any on the day, but sitting on the porch and looking at the scenery of the courtyard feels very comfortable.

Toraya Karyo - Kyoto Ichijo

There are different buffet options for dinner but it was very confusing how it worked. The expensive option gives you the buffet for the appetizers and desserts. They were really tiny one bite appetizers, and about 9 different kinds only, plus some prosciutto. Then you also get to choose a main course, which is cooked to order and served to you, and a full dessert. Since there were desserts in the buffet you could eat a lot of sweets. I would prefer to have more savory foods for dinner. The less expensive option gives you the full buffet which is the appetizers plus hot food and more options - but they call it an appetizer buffet. The less expensive option is an actual buffet, and obviously the better deal. It looked like a lot of food to choose from.

I probably wouldn&#39;t have ended up here if I weren&#39;t staying at the Brighton, but my daughter and I decided that to celebrate our last day in Kyoto we would spend a night at our favorite hotel and celebrate. In our spirit of splurge we decided to be total tourists and reserve at Teppanyaki Himorogi. Exquisite is all I can say. Every single morsel melted in our mouths. We had our own little area of the grill and our own private, very beautiful, teppanyaki chef and it was simply astonishing. When you have the need to be splurgy and refined, go to Himorogi. Really, the quality of the food, the preparation, the ingredients, the attention were all unforgettable.

The Kyoto Imperial Palace, which went to the last day of Kyoto, had to make an online reservation for tourists who had visited. Now it can go directly because of the off-season, but it is not open every day for only about three days. 「虎屋菓寮」多間分店中，以一条店最值得造訪。樓底超高，空間感十足，氣氛寧靜。冬天時來過，當時被看似普通不過、實際上美味非常的葛切徹底收服，這天在京都又心思思回到這裡。然而星期六的下午前來，花了差不多45分鐘等候時間才能入座！ 雖然庭園超美（還擺放了有蚊香，細心），但天氣太熱啦，還是坐室內。 夏天有かき氷供應，但還是惦念著葛切。「葛切」從一種稱為「葛」的植物根部所取出的澱粉製作而成，外表有點像小時候吃過的大菜糕，煮熟後變透明。晶瑩剔透的葛切放在冰塊水保持原本的硬度，吃時沾上香氣濃郁的和三盆黑蜜，嫩滑Ｑ彈，極好吃，再次令人驚艷！ 雖然論人氣可能還不及另一老店「鍵善良房」，但「虎屋」給我的感覺整體更棒，特別是這漂亮得沒話說的庭園。
