This "Vinegar House" has nothing to do with vinegar. It is a wood shop founded in 1721 by the national hero Sakamoto Ryoma, who is worthy of a special mention in the process of Japan's founding and modernization. At that time, Ryoma secretly established the headquarters of the sea aid team in Kyoto, for the hidden people's eyes and ears, and opened the timber shop. It is now opened as a memorial hall.
