Lanling County is located in the south of Shandong Province. The county has a long history and is home to famous attractions such as Xiangyi Old City Ruins, Langgong Temple at Dazong Mountain, and Wenfeng Mountain. Xiangyi Old City Ruins are squarish in shape. They measure 500 meters long and are situated on the Loess Plateau. Langgong Temple at Dazong Mountain is surrounded by nine mountain peaks. This is the oldest of the four ancient temples in the old Langya Prefecture area. Langgong Temple has a long history. It was erected during the Eastern Jin dynasty. The temple is named after the Eastern Jin Buddhist monk Langgong Zhuoxi, who practiced meditation at this location.
