What a beautiful place, Las Vegas is a world apart, just incredible.
love it I couldn't Have a beautiful time there I'm going back soon...
The experience of Fremont Street is the most famous scenic pedestrian area in Las Vegas. It's suitable to bring children together. The bus is not expensive. The old city of Las Vegas is very worthwhile and the atmosphere is very good. As a person who has visited many similar scenic spots, it must be said that this place has brought me a very fresh feeling.
This area is so nice. Everything is located within a short 4-6 block area. Every weekend is filled with free concerts at three different stages. Multiple casinos, nice shows, and plenty of great restaurants and bars to visit. If your looking for a thrill, there is a 110 foot slot machine to begin a Zip line ride across the full four block covered Freemont Street experience. On the far East side is the Container park...A shopping, eating, and drinking MALL made out of metal shipping containers! The resorts are less expensive than the strip and there is easy access to city busses if you find the need to go there. Night life is great, but some of the street performers are not appropriate for children. For my wife and I, this was a great trip and has become a recurring vacation spot.
Ok James Bond fans. This is the street where James Bond (Sean Connery) and Tiffany Case (Jill St. John) engaged in a wild car chase, ending with the 1970's Ford on its two side wheels. The street itself is now closed to traffic and many of the Las Vegas Classics such as The Mint are gone. However there are several casinos that are still there. Of note is The Golden Gate, the oldest hotel/casino still in existence. Binion's founded by legendary poker player and erstwhile gangster Benny Binion. The Plaza at the end of the of Fremont street, although it seems to under construction in the film. See if you can walk the car chase. Also if you follow me (Jay Amernick) on Social Cam I have a James Bond Diamonds Are Forever Video Location Guide where I take you move by move thru the car chase! Live it up you are in Las Vegas for cryin’ out loud!
A must when in Las Vegas! The led screen and music in the streets is so exhilarating and will bring a smile to anyone's face. It was much better when all the casinos would go dark when the music started but hey, this is america and evidently they must of had problems so there went another change to the system! Why cant people just be good, not steal, not fight and let the majority of us have fun? Downtown can be a bit of a freak show nit not very bad or that often, it's really cleaned up over the years!
We took a tour of Vegas that dropped us off on Fremont Street for 4 or 5 hours and that was a great decision because this is a MUST SEE while in Vegas. Fremont Street is the original Vegas Strip and still has some old vintage offerings mixed with modern restaurants and entertainment. The street is outdoor, but the length of the street is covered by a large television screen. Every hour or so you'll see pre-programmed mini-shows that halt the street, so everybody is looking at the screen. While on the street, you can get your picture taken with a few Chippendales, go souvenir shopping, gamble in a cool, old casino or grab a Starbucks beverage. It'll be a great time if you go.
