|At the foot of the snow-capped mountains, by the shore of Lake Geneva. Lausanne is the capital of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, the headquarters of the Olympic Committee, and the city of ballet.
The city is quite small, with the main urban area built on the hillside. Coming out of the train station, you can walk up the hill, or take the metro for two stops to reach Riponne M. Bejart, right in the city center.
In the heart of the city is the Gothic Lausanne Cathedral, built in the 12th century, with the town hall and a viewing platform nearby. When I visited, it was the eve of Christmas, so a Ferris wheel🎡 was temporarily set up in the square, offering a beautiful overview of the city.
There are many small shops behind the cathedral where you can casually eat. The cost of living in Switzerland is quite high, and this area is French-speaking.
If you want to go to the lakeside, take the metro to Ouchy, where you can stroll and relax in the Olympic Park, and the wind by the lake is very strong, so be mindful of keeping warm in winter.
If you have ample time, you can visit the University of Lausanne and the Lausanne Federal Institute of Technology, or take a train to the Cully vineyards.

We also had our lunch at the Tom café located on top of the museum where offers a great lake view and delicious food.
If you have plenty of time, you can take the regular boats to Evian which sits opposite Lausanne.

Le Vaudois, a famous local restaurant in Lausanne~
We have a bottle of red wine to celebrate. In the last few days, everyones physical strength can no longer support the violent walk. The daily trip is easy and enjoyable~
This meal is a Swiss national cuisine cheese fondue~ we order red wine cheese fondue, which is different from the ordinary traditional cheese fondue. The bottom of the pot is red, with red wine fragrant ~
cheese fondue It is one of Switzerland's traditional diets. There are many traditional cheeses in Switzerland that are not surprising, the most famous of which are Fondue and Raclette. These two dishes are made from melted cheese and are filled with heat, so they are usually eaten in winter.
