Xieshan Park (North Gate)

Xieshan Park is located in the Yuzhu area of Huangpu District, Guangzhou. It is a very, very small park. It covers a small area. There used to be a small mountain surrounded by small mountain bags. The traffic is fairly convenient. It takes only five or six minutes to walk to Yuzhu Station of Metro Line 5 and Line 13.

The predecessor of Xieshan Park is the Crab Mountain Fort built by Zhang Zhidong, Governor of the two Guangzhous in 1885. In 1922, the Sun Yat-sen Guangzhou disaster, Chen Xuming Department used this fort to bomb Sun Yat-sen's Yongfeng ship. In honor of this incident, Chen Ce and others of Guangdong Fleet built several small pavilions on Crab Mountain and erected monuments. Because of the Danxia landform, the mountain stones resemble big red crabs. There are many ancient trees in the park: Park Tree, Yinxiang, Bamboo Festival Tree, Fake Pingpo, Qinye Coral, Chandelier Wood, Golden Bizhu, etc.

Because it is close to home, I go there almost every day to play, unless it rains, take my son for a walk in the morning, go there with my brother for a run in the evening, quiet in the middle of noisy, tree-lined, clean environment, the only bad thing is that I have found snakes in the past two years, which is still very scary.
